I now create a magnetic tension between the moon and whatever-the-hell-this-planet-is-called. With space magic of course.

I shat defeat this foe... With Logic!!!

I argue that a paladin is by definition lawful good and therefore, he, an evil paladin, cannot exist. If he is lawful good I apologize profusely for my mistake, and vow to serve him.

{4} - The sky remains non-red and non-firey.

Realmfighter
{2+2=4} - Ragnar destroys the hostile zombies utterly.
+2 Anti-Necromancy! Master Anti-Necromancer gained!

SHAD0Wdump
{5+1=6} - Generic guy #1 begins chanting. Soon, the moon grows a malevolent looking face. 72 undefined time units remain until it collides directly with Clock Town Richport!
+2 Space Magic!

RandomNumberGenerator
{5-1=4} - Lithoniel is overcome by feelings of warmpth and a desire for sleep. Eternal rest at last, yes .... Then, she remembers her childhood. The laughs and jeers of the other children her age. Filled with a sudden rage, she attacks the wall of the orb! It falls from the holster that Philippe had it in, shattering on the ground! She is freed, and is jarred back into her body. There is a small bird on her left leg. It chirps.

Dragnar
{1 vs 1} - "Paladins must be lawful good! You are Evil, and do not exist!"
Philippe looks at him, momentarily perplexed. "First, I am chaotic neutral, as is Extremus. Second, I haven't the slightest idea where you got that from. The Dragons and Dungeons rulebook (3.6c) clearly states that a paladin is whatever alignment his god is. Third, such rules do not apply to reality."
{4} (Mini-Mech) - The Mini-Mech successfully found a power source it can get to! It plugs it into the mech somehow!

Flintus10
{1} - Flint takes a short cut across the open water. He finds his fleet in a hurricane. The ships take damage, and he no longer knows which way shore is in.

CJ1145
{6, AI} - A small oasis is found, but the necromancer remains lost.

NPCs:
{6+1=6} (Philippe, Arch-Paladin of Extremus [1/?]) - He begins throwing fireballs at random townspeople. They burn.

Other:
65 undefined time units remain until the moon collides with Richport!

Wait up...

The moon now has a face...

I'm aware this in no way means the moon is now sentient or anything like that, however...

Talk to the moon!

Hmm... My 3.5 rulebook says that a paladin doesn't even need to serve a god, but has to uphold the principles of justice and maintain a lawful good alignment, must have been changed. Also, if he is chaotic neutral, why are all of his actions so far evil, shouldn't it be random?

Sounds FUN! I convert to the church of Extremus and humbly ask for an exciting quest to prove my devotion.

Ah, It's free knowledge since it references an earlier forum game..

"Why yes! You can learn much here! My name is Andy, and I'm the priest of the Trombly chapter of the Church of Extremus. As you probably know, Extremus is the god of EXCITEMENT! Extremus hates boring people and situations, and is known for setting fires to SPICE UP our boring lives. Unfortunately, Extremus is not a very popular god BECAUSE he starts so many fires, and so if you really want to get in touch with him, you should visit Fort Lamar where a gladiatorial arena exists, dedicated solely to provide exciting things for Extremus to watch."

Some time later in the thread he burns a PC for setting a peasant on fire instead of juggling. He's not really evil.

Tell the zombies to set up shop at the Oasis. Have Alfred do some scouting to find the nearest settlement. I shall go hunting to kill anything that I could make a water bottle out of.

Re: Hope to Dodge - Turn 30. Zombie moon!
« Reply #314 on: December 03, 2009, 08:36:35 pm »

{5} - The GM gets tired of trying to turn the sky red and throw fireballs randomly. Besides, Generic guy #1 already started the doomsday counter. Oh, and Night 1 is almost over. The peasants who are not on fire wake up to see the moon hurtling towards them and run around screaming like people who are facing certain doom always do. Philippe seems mildly perturbed by them not fearing him.

SHAD0Wdump
{4+1=5} - Generic guy #1 begins talking to the moon. It winks at him. Perhaps it is listening?
+3 Diplomacy!

Realmfighter
{6+2=6} - Ragnar the barbarian unleashes a massive amount of energy to animate the moon as a zombie. Since the moon is winking, and clearly not dead, the second moon is animated instead. Since Ragnar has no more minion limit, the zombie-moon is a rogue zombie-moon, under the command of nobody.
+2 Anti-Necromancy!

RandomNumberGenerator
{1} - Lithoniel prays to Mildus, and is rewarded with the Touch of Glod! Everything she touches will probably be turned into a sober and probably-hostile dwarf!
Ability gained: Touch of Glod!

Dragnar
{2-1=1 vs 1} - "I want to be on Extremus' side too!" Philippe doesn't even hear Dragnar.
{3} (Mini-Mech) - The mini-mech guards the powered up mech, protecting it from looters.

Flintus10
{6} (Find land) - One of the fishermen notices land, but it is only a small island.
{5} - By deforesting the island, Flint and his crew patch up the remaining ships somewhat. It's not pretty, but it'll work.
+3 Repairs! Novice Repairman gained!

CJ1145
{6} (Zombies) - The zombies open up a store, selling oasis plants. Probably. Okay, so they just stand around staring at an out of place saguaro cactus.
{4} (Alfred) - Alfred goes on his way. He will be back next turn, unless he gets a {1}.
{2} - Richard nearly gets lost, but manages to find his way back. He found nothing.

NPCs:
{4 vs 6} (Philippe, Arch-Paladin of Extremus [2/?]) - Philippe gets bored and drops a house on Dragnar. Dragnar dodges out of the way, and some rubble lands on Philippe's foot.

Zombie Moon!
