Actually, no vermin can be butchered by you - though the purring maggot lacks [NOT_BUTCHERABLE], it is not possible to designate a vermin for butchering from the Z-Animals menu. I guess it's sort of the opposite of milking - while you can butcher animals and milk vermin, other races can also milk animals and butcher vermin.
