Hi, Sam!  This is Luke; I was sitting next to you at the beginning.

Just got back from the meetup.  Was great fun hanging out with everyone.  Didn't recognize Toady at first because I'd only seen pictures of him with a beard and he's cleanshaven now.  Very outgoing and personable dude, had a lot of fun bouncing questions off of him and didn't feel one iota of fan-weariness from him.

We didn't have anyone come over from the IGDA meetup AFAIK, but I'm a game developer and was talking some shop with Toady so that may have been the muffled part you heard.  Guess I'll know when I check out the recording.

I'm telling you, we should have a pancake meet or something in the us, and at the same time there should be a dorf dinner somewhere in europe.  It could be like a web conference type thing.

Nice to meet all you guys!  There was some great conversation about Dwarf Fortress, and a high-stakes game of Robo Rally.  I wish I could have caught more of the conversation in Tarn's area of the table, but there's always the recorded webcast to watch!
