Allright, so I went to work, and I had some free time. So I put down a bunch of ideas that I thought could be possible, if you are limited to what is possible in the game. I'm gonna break them into four spoilers, Possible Rune/rune trigger, and Fanciful rune/rune trigger. Feel free to just quote it, and put if it's possible next to it. Sorry if this ends up being a long post. (Also, sorry if these suggestions bother you, Hah.) Oh, I know that most of these will probably be impossible, but hey.. It could be fun.
Possible Rune
Blood (Like the magma/water statue)
Vomit (Like Magma/water.. Ugh.)
Goo (Who doesn't want a blood/vomit/goo moat?)
Fat (The moat is full of.. Ugh..)
Booze! (Like Dwarven Ale or wine Most keep Plump Helmets and pig tails.)
Explode (It's been suggested, maybe how booze explodes?)
Fear (Whatever makes my dwarves run away from foes)
UnZombify (I love them, but I want my miners back.)
Pain (Been playing Dark Dwarves. I want to periodic sentry pain encrust the chains for a prisoner.)
Knockback (Go near the statue, go flying. Also used for Dwarven Pinball.)
Damblock (Armor of invulnerability! Oh crap. Right in the eye huh? To the resurrection statue!)
Blinding (Not sure if you can do body specific damage. But a stream of blind orcs falling into magma tickles my fancy.)
Brain damage (Reality television rune)
Run around babbling (You all ready have the other two.)
Webbing (Should be along the lines of Dragonfire)
Dismemberment (Once again, area specific damage.)
Exhaustion
Sleep (You said you'd look into it, any luck?)
Clothing repair (Tired of tattered clothing, can you do anything about item wear?)
Nudity (Or just get rid of the damn stuff.)
Impregnate (Just throwing it out there.)
Fanciful Rune
Anti Gravity (Falling up)
Glowing pit (More FUN!)
Pressure (Like water or lava pressure)
Drowning (Or breathing for your aquatic civ!)
Falling damage (Blown apart is the coolest death announcement.)
Military activation
Evil Ground (Like gnarling up some recently living trees.)
Weather changing (because the rain dance just doesn't work.)
Plant growth (Speed up farming or wood production.)
Megabeast calling (Like a beacon to them!)
Obliteration (What was the effect of the dwarven atom smasher, or falling into a bottomless pit. No body, no armor. Nothing left at all.)
No sleep (Like the Token.)
No Eat ("" "")
No Drink (No I just want my soldiers to be tireless machines with no physical needs, not my crafters, or I just don't like building rooms.)
Happiness (Good thoughts!)
Depression (Bad thoughts. I've never seen a Fell mood.)
Baby (It would be possible to get generations going if you could make a dwarf pop out a baby at will.. Well.. Faster, at least.)
Age (Make the dwarves age faster. Or.. Make your enemies die of old age reaching your fort.)
Youth (To reverse those pesky aging effects.. Or... Goblin babies!)
Migrant (Can you trigger them, sage of Spellcraft?)
Crime (Hammerings or jail time for this poor dwarf/these dwarves.)
Misery (Just the miserable status.)
Gender (A clean, everyday procedure.)
Ok, now on to rune triggers. There are less of these.
Realistic trigger
Fire/heat (For a sprinkler system)
Ice/cold (Drop in a freeze happy river)
Wet (Water creeping down a hallway?Not anymore!)
Birth (Good trigger for the age rune.)
Strange mood (Are strange moods considered insanity? If so, you may be able to squelch it, if it is a damnable bone carver and you don't want another idol.)
Topple (Zombies keep knocking over my statues.)
Destroyed (Exploding door would be the answer to building destroyers.)
Hauled/Picked up
Dropped
Open door/Close door (Could be useful for teleporting)
Touched (Like walking over a hatch cover.)
Sparring (I'm thinking Attacking and defending covers this, but not sure.)
Knocked back (Usually means the recipient of this status effect is about to hit a surface and explode.)
Fanciful Triggers
Season change
Falling (Would be a blast for the teleport rune.)
Walked over (Same as touched, I guess.)
Drank from (Don't drink the zombie brew! Or.. A Healing bucket, I guess. Zombie brew sounds way cooler.)
