You've collectively summed up the issues facing us as a forum community and my vote right now is the one listed above: inquire of the admin what we can do, perhaps waiting until we have a few more members to look more legitimate. For the good of the group and in order for it to serve as a useful utility for the DF community, we need to be recognized and supported by Toady, etc. As a democratic group, would you voice your opinions on this here? Wait, or go for the gold?

Sigs would be tight. Working on the architecture of my very peaceful "terrifying" fort right now, much disappointed by the lack of pure evil and undead. Let's face it, Hoary marmots aren't much of a challenge! As soon as I take a break I'll format my own sig. Great idea Dante, care to elaborate?

Agreed. However, we are facing a problem because WITHOUT a better place to host this, it's going to be hard to recruit players and hard to provide a good service.

I just switched to Linux (Ubuntu) so I'l probably be gone for a week re-installing DF and doing other stuff.

I am highly interested in joining.  This would be my first succession game; but what a great place to start; right?
My only concern is being a Mac user would I be able to participate in the general free for all?  Or only with other Mac-using players?  I dual boot to Windows 7; but it's been very crashy with DF for me.
