Umiman is going to the UK

I'll be visiting the UK sometime this December (airfare is only CAD$150!!!!), so I was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas on what would be fun and cheap to do there.

So... stuff that a single person (I don't like travelling with others) can do for kicks. It's not like I'm introverted either, so feel free to suggest busting into strange rituals and parties too.

Where in the UK? Ireland, Scotland, England?

Also for how long? A week, a month?

Landing in London. Free to go anywhere from there for 10 days before flying back.

Stonehenge is a long trip.
So your either taking a tour bus, renting a car, or getting a drive.


And you are only allowed to come within 10-15ft of the stones, so you definitely can't put pictures on them.

Go do all the landmarky things.

Tower Bridge and the Tower itself. There are lots of museums around that are free (Tate, Natural History and the Victoria and Albert if I remember correctly).

There are also step on, step off tour buses, that constantly roam the city. Just be at a bus stop when they pass, get on and then get off when your done.

As I haven't been there myself I can't offer any more.

In my general experiance, no matter where I go I never enjoy sightseeing. I'd probably go to a bar or something, maybe even take walks around my area.

But there are quite some free medieval museums, that's what I think is awesome about London. And history is interesting too! (Hell, I wouldn't care if England was under Viking rule or kept by the Anglo-Saxons. But those Frenchie pussys?!)
