Apologies, THIS is what I have (in that precise model and color). I should say I've been rather ill lately, if it makes me look less like an idiot.

As you can see, the blade (which I think would still be harmless in a handle) is on a prong of the fork. It works great, but if you're cutting meat those huge serrations are quite impossible to clean out without hot water.

I use a spoon for kiwi fruits.
Yeah, but when we buy Kiwi Fruits they come with it. So you don't need to bring a spoon.

They might be just spoon with a knife on the end (so you can cut it in half), but I haven't had one in a while.

I'll admit it's a very sharp spoon.

Hell the Religious arguments too.
hurhurhur.

Anyway, I don't happen to have a "safe" kettle-heating area at the moment, as a Burn Ban is still in effect for the rest of the week, and open flames count as a Burn.

Goddam, they can keep you from using stoves down there in dry heat? I mean, I know the air above your trees is combustible, but really?

I think I have some sort of kettle-pitcher hybrid.

it's also Cuisinart.

Ahh, it says on the bottom "cordless electric jug-kettle"

and looks like a kettle-jug-pitcher hybrid.

Not that i'm aware of. They're allowed apply a total fire ban in times of extreme heat and dryness, but that means no outdoor fires, doesn't affect stoves.

I agree with Sofia and Dick.

Also, would'nt having a kettle be easier in the long run? You could even get one of the new kettles that heat water in a second flat.

I have one of those continuously-heating thermos-kettle things that keep the water at just under boiling temperature indefinetly. There's also a normal kettle and a microwave. I rarely ever heat water in a microwave, much less use it to make tea or noodles. The kettle mostly gets used to refill the thermos-kettle so it doesn't have to reboil everything.
