Why would that matter at all?

Linux is all very well and good if you understand computers and don't mind some stuff not running until someone makes a patch or something.

This makes me think about one thing I've noticed lately: Internet Explorer is getting better and better, even adding new original functions, while Firefox (which I'm about to switch away from) is getting slower and more bloated for every new release.  One of my friends has experienced the same thing.

Anyone else notice this?

MyLittlePonyBuiltMyHotRod, this is your first warning. I would like to direct you to read our forum's FAQ and posting guidelines before posting again. Specifically we don't use swear words here, and your picture of Stalin riding a Year3 Limited Edition Starflower inside a German concentration camp was both upsetting and historically inaccurate.

Firefox latest version is still way faster than Internet's-you-cant-uninstall-me latest one...

Firefox still has much more and better add-ons.  Most of Internet's improvements are Firefox ideas...

Firefox has better searchs and shortcuts.

etc, etc...

No... I was kidding with that excessive excitement... But you'll have to give me good proof to show me how IE is faster than Firefox and Firefox is slower as time goes by... And firefox is still more secure, javascript commands and the like can be much more limited, for example.

I don't believe it for a sec.

I still need to give chrome a good try, though.

Have fun:

I still need to give chrome a good try, though.

I use Firefox and Chrome. Firefox is used for general browsing while I use Chrome for videos ever since Firefox decided to stop playing videos smoothly and instead "lag", causing me what can only be described as pain while it jaggedly skips forward every few seconds on random streamed videos. It still has better addons than Chrome, so meh. It works just fine for everything else.

I've recently started using Firefox, and I find it faster than IE, mostly due to The App That Must Not Be Named.  Although I use IE8 on this computer due to not being an admin, and it isn't too bad.  The tab recovery and stuff like that are fairly useful.

Although remember, as Firefox users, you should not evangalise.  The reason IE is the most commonly hacked is because it's the most commonly used.  If Firefox achieves market dominance, their customers will start being targeted more.

anyway... Until IE doesn't make one confortable Ctr-f Search I'm gonna keep cursing at it's makers...

Leafsnail... While you may be right at some point (as it is with Linux security) IE is still very OS related and might allow things that you can't control...

Who here thinks Firefox + Addons ftw should be my new sig... ? :P

Yeah, if you keep dissing everything for pointless reasons, people are just going to start associating Firefox the same way as people associate Mac-ites, except without the inherent "chic"-ness of being a Mac user.

Same with the CCCP codec pack dudes.

I also like the more recent makes of IE. Much more useful than it was previously, though admittedly, Firefox still wins out.
