GIRLFRIEND! Geez, god, woah nelly.

He mentioned in in the Engraver's Guild, so it's got to be true.

That satisfies the two-sources rule.

Sure does, whatever it is.

It's the rule lazy journalists use.

Example:
1. Vice President secretly leaks information about WMD's in oil rich nation.
2. Vice President announces WMD threat publicly.
3. Journalist says, "Well that's two sources, guess it's true!"
4. War.

Doesn't work that way; they need to be two independent and unconnected sources.

Also, i can't make any sense out of that long post, it's either deeply philosophical or gibberish.

Okay replace 1 and 2 with two 'unconnected' journals publishing the same talking points.

Also, i can't make any sense out of that long post, it's either deeply philosophical or gibberish.

I'm not in the habit of talking bullshit, thank you.

I can only speak from my own personal experience, and my experience is that what i see is nonsense.

If you two want to continue pretending to be pre-teens with ego issues, please take it elsewhere.

Neruz, I have had nothing but respect for you, but I don't know what is so nonsensical about what I wrote. I might be wrong, or you might disagree with my points, or maybe I just wrote poorly. I don't know if you don't tell me.

Probably my reaction was incorrect and if that's the case than I apologize.

If you two want to continue pretending to be pre-teens with ego issues, please take it elsewhere.

I can only speak for myself but I don't think either of us are having ego issues (in this thread at least.)

I don't either, for what it's worth.

Allow me to put it in plain English instead of waxing intertubes on you then;

I do not understand what you are trying to say.

Alright. What I said was that being actually happy happens because a person has learnt how to think effectively, and is living effectively due to that. But since everyone's life and experience is different, there isn't some one size fits all way to think. That's why I don't think you can really teach them how to think by giving advice or anything like that: they have to build a unique method of thought which fits their own life.

So, I think the only way to really help is to try and set a good example by living the way that I think I should.

The sub-point was that trying to help other people with their problems all the time can be a trap. It makes the helper feel good and smart, and makes the helped feel better temporarily. But I questioned if the helper could really understand the problem well enough to truly help that person in any long-term way. This sub-point was a criticism of my own past actions as well as of other's.

Also, I want to apologize again for whatever the misunderstanding was. I just took it ass-backwards, I don't want to make anyone feel like they can't say they don't understand something.
