Alrighty, stream coming online (tentatively. May be going to dinner.)

For now, it's looking like it'll be either Ultima Underworld, X-Com UFO Def. (not Terror from the Deep, ugh, that was just painful,) or maybe another interesting DOSBoxable game if there's any recommendations.

You know what, screw it. I'm too terrible at these and any games for anything more than intermittent comedic effect, and too uninteresting to garner a decent-sized audience. Forget it, I'm gone, to sink to the bottom of the 'Play With Your Buddies' forum.

Fuck that noise Reasonableman! You get on that livefeed right now and play some damn games. You can't expect epic fame right away. On the livestream fort I did, I only had 3 or 4 people at most for the vast majority of the time. Have fun with, and value, the people who do tune in, instead of valueing yourself on how many people don't tune in. Otherwise, you'll want to kill yourself when you realize there are entire continents of people who don't know about you and never will.

It's more just I'm tired of blowing up my whole damn strike team in X-Com over and over again. Also there's mitigating personal factors of a real-life nature.

I liked it too, especially the x-com hilarity.

If someone had the miniatures, they could Livestream a webcam of the endeavor.

Fiiine, I'll piddle around a bit with Ultima Underworld. I'm gonna go brutally slowly, though, as any other speed has me floundering about in confusion. Also I'm gonna look up a tutorial for the best character build.

A play-by-play of both games:

Ultima Underworld
Loo loo loo, make a character.
Loo loo loo, mark on the map.
Loo loo loo, talk with dudes.
Loo loo loo, kill some stuff.
Loo loo loo, get hopelessly lost and bored.
Loo loo loo, raegquit due to annoying weight limit.

Curse my packrat genes.

X-Com: UFO Defense
Base: Mount Fatass
Build: Long-range radar, alien containment, extra storage
Buy: Doods, stunsticks, flares, extra boolets.
Research: Lazor pistols
Manufacture: Lazor pistols
Attack: A couple sectoid craft
Fire: Ludicrous quantities of boolets and miss every time.
Lose: Tons o' nameless recruits.
Frustratedly name: everyone gets names like "Stormtrooper" "Captain Worthless" and "Mad Larks" (the psychopath wanted a recruit!)
Attack: more sectoids, and two floater terror missions
Lose: nobody. Not a one.
Manufacture: Armor for a couple doods.
Defend: our only base from sectoids while everyone is away, with six lazor pistols and reaction shots from alien guns.
Lose: half our troops at home to panic, berserkers, mind control, and cyberdisks.
Destroy: The cyberdisks, blowing up the sectoids.
Barely skirt past: total disaster. But we manage to pull of the defense just fine.
Attack: Sectoid scout.
Lose: two or three armored doods.
Win: that mission, even if it was annoying losing guys.
Crash: the game. Wah wah waaaaah. Somehow, after researching a reaper terrorist, a sectopod research result popped up, despite my having never seen one. This was confusing. Then I hit okay and it crashed.
Raegquit: the Livestream.
Type up: this largely extraneous postmortem.

WHOAH AND NOW THE LIVESTREAM'S GOING UP AGAIN!
But this time I'm not posting again to advertise it, because I won't be chatting, as my desktop is off, and I'm running the fullscreen version of X-Com. I'll try to regain the lost progress from the crash, at the very least, then, who knows.

WHOAH AGAIN ITS GOING UP AGAIN WHAT WACKINESS
Although this time I don't have a mouse, so it's a very clumsy game of Ultima Underworld on the agenda, and my battery might die.

Well, I haven't died and I'm currently looking awesome and shootin' walls and aliens, am I not? Clearly I was meant to be a surprisingly long-lived recruit.

So it seems! Also, the 'stream's going back up for a while. At the moment, I'm tinkering with a game brought to you by William Shatner, and later, I have another treat in store. For now, tinkering tinkering tinkering. Hope to see you there!

OKAY NEW TREAT not the one I was planning, but even better. But it's NSFW in parts. Okay most parts. But hopefully none of you are working.

Aww, my thunder was utterly stolen by WorkerDrone :C
But in other news, WorkerDrone is online! : D

Aww and now he isn't. Possibly just a brief connection issue. Whatever the case, I'm gonna try to figure out what to do next. Hrrrm.

I feel just awful double posting, but I've been told that bumping the stream when it's online is appropriate... by... someone... I forget who. Oh well, at least now I can't blame them. Anyways, it IS online, so come and watch me flounder about and fail a lot! At what, it has yet to be determined, but I've got a couple of experiments.

EDIT: oop, and now it's off again.
