That was one hell of a ramble Toony.

I'm goin' home on wednesday or Tuesday, staying there for 11-12 days, then coming back. I loaned someone 5 bucks, and now I'm starting to think I won't get it back before I leave

I'm getting even better at ping pong, as I'm beating Ben a little more consistently now.

Things I've learned in college:

leisure doesn't mean leisure
Don't put wet clothes into makeshift hamper
How to get the celestial weapons in FFX
I'm pretty good at ping pong and pool

The onset of indifference having descended on the school, the services are noticeably worse, since they're manned by students.

I wonder what I should take back home for the break. I'm thinking one of my tote bags, my cell phone, my portable radio (looong bus ride), and maybe a towel (most important item yada yada yada).

My roommate is a very nice but lonely and socially inept guy. To my surprise, he's oblivious to alot of things in culture, like Friday the 13th (the day) and the movie The Shining, as well as Jack Nicholson. He's a Trekkie as well, which I found amusing. He told me alot about it, since I really haven't watched Star Trek ever.

Things are going well.

Here here! He let me play his PS2, which was what gave me the idea to replay FFX in the first place.

I'm not big in the RPG thing.  I've only ever played FFXII on PS2 or something.  The whole thing was like a movie.  Amazing.

Why would you START on the WORST ONE? FFXII doesn't even exist as far as I'm concerned, along with XI

Since the terms over though, he had to take his PS2 away with him for his break. He said he's going to get it repaired (as the lid has trouble closing. I've been making due with scotch tape) and bring it back.

I never understood how final fantasy was final.

The company that made the first FF was about to go bankrupt. They were going to release their last game, then shut down completely. They appropriately named it "Final Fantasy" because it was going to be their last game.

However, the game was such a hit that they had enough money to make another one. And another, and another, and...

I just love the irony.

I heard they already made 13, and that 14 is in the works. I didn't even KNOW that 13 had existed until I heard that 14 was being made.

I don't even want to know. I mean seriously, there is still some talent in that company, but they just REFUSE to let go of that name. Let it die already man, it's not like you're telling a coherent story over each game.

Although, I DO like the blatant hint that the FFX world and the FFVII world are in the same universe.

The title makes a ridiculous amount of money, though. They could slap "FINAL FANTASY MMCXXIV" on a baboon's ass and it would sell millions of copies.

Exactly; when you have a title that makes you that much money, why in gods name would you want to change it?

I concur.  It would be preposterous to even think about it.

I've only played earlier versions of the games (when the pc game looked like a gameboy game :P)

But I've been more involved with snes games like chronno trigger, tales of phantasia, mario RPG, etc :P.
