Also, because I don't have my own TV, I bought a second-hand one from another student for $25. I believe this was a good deal, since it was a little old, but it was big enough to be satisfactory, and it played my PS2 just fine. However, my personal collection of games is a little lacking, and I need to find some better ones to buy/borrow. In the case of buying though, I'll need to be more frugal in the future, since I only have $66 dollars in cash left.

However, I have like forty dollars in quarters that I keep in a jar. However, I don't think it'd be polite to pay someone in quarters, and I don't have any means of converting all my change into cash.

For getting PS2 games I'd suggest looking for cheap used games on e-bay.

The next time you go home for a while, you could get some change rolls and put all of your quarters in them.  Then you could take them to the bank and exchange them for cash.

That's a good idea Meph, now I just need to create a new Ebay account, set the mailing address so that my packages arrive at the dorm office with my name on them, and find a way of transferring money that's in my wallet to people very far away when I'm trapped in a college that's in the middle of a forest.

I suppose I could catch a bus ride to a Western Union for money transfers, but that plan seems complicated enough to undoubtably have a fatal flaw in it somewhere...

But before I do any of that, I need to use a proxy to get around the school's universal block on most entertainment websites, and then roll a natural 20 on my charisma check to convince the school management to accept such an arrangement inspite of the fact that the packages come from an explicitly blocked website.

Now, if I knew someone that HAD the game I wanted, then I could just borrow it. My problem: I DO know someone that has the game I want, which is RE4. You see, the problem lies in the fact that he's completely deaf, and so I don't know HOW to ask him for the game. What I need to do: find a person that knows sign language and convince him to ask him for me. I know there's someone like that around here somewhere...

EDIT:  You guys should come to Argentina with an internship in the Universidad de Buenos Aires or something...  This is so different but yet so cool in some ways... And everything will be 4 times cheaper with Us$.

it's one of the best universities in Latin America.  With international renown.  So yeah. 

Both my parents graduated there and had no problems working in the US and Spain.
