Does it have something to do with FF by any chance?

Yes, I said in another thread that I'm replaying FFX. In my spare time of course.

In my time in college, I have met a short indian (India indian) man with a nasally voice and a large crooked nose who goes by the name of Ben, and he is easily the best ping pong player I have ever met in person.

Upon meeting this man, I've been playing him almost everyday at ping pong, and losing everyday for a more than a week straight, and he's been going easy on me.

However, all my training is starting to show, as something has finally clicked, and I've started beating him semi-consistently, atleast when when he's not going all out.

It's something I'm proud of actually, as ping pong is a great deal harder than it looks.

Also, Blitzball. I've been playing with the original Besaid Aurochs only, and I'm slowly turning them into a coordinated asskicking machine, despite how wimpy their stats are in comparison to the better players in the game. I have Wakka, and he have the move "Auroch's Spirit" which'll be flippin' awesome if I meet the prerequisites to get it. He's underleveled as well, and Datto is awesome so far. I love Datto. He's like a wounded puppy that routinely beats the shit out of every dog in town.

I'm not making very good progress in the game, as I'm far too distracted by Blitzball.

Ping pong is nothing short of awesome. Some people scoff and say it's not a real sport, but I have worked up quite a sweat playing. And I'm in pretty good shape.

How are your classes going? Still getting flak from the strict faculty, or is it all good now?

I hate when you get a glancer. The ones where it barely nicks the table while it drops like a rock and all you can do is stare and begin to formulate your next thought, which is usually "FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-".

Pff; i know a guy who can put so much backspin on a table-tennis ball that it zooms back into the net after the first bounce.

Playing against him is... tricky...

My classes are going well, I'm almost five weeks in, and since the terms are divided into five week increments, I'm almost done with the first term.

then, I'll have a small break, and then get back to work.

I'm a master at wasting weekends.

Spent most of it playing FFX, and I believe I've already assembled a party more formidable than any I've ever made before.

Time to go swimming before supper.

Oh my flippin' GOD! I can't believe I forgot to tell you guys about casino night. CASINO NIGHT! CAAAASSSSIIIIINNOOOO NIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

Some days ago, we turned the canteen (where all the recreational stuff is kept) into a giant casino, and all the students were invited to come play. Not with real money though, they gave us all play money to play the games with.

I was the first person at the Texas Hold'em table, as I love Texas Hold'em. I turned the initial 150 dollars they gave us into over 600 in two hands. Got VERY lucky. I was about to win more too, when the dealer had a sudden emergency or something and left, and I was left to fare the other games, which were all horribly tilted towards the house.

There was craps, which I didn't know how to play. pokino, some odd godforsaken combination of poker and bingo which looked unappealing. Roulette, which I've always lost at and will never win at. Then we had blackjack, which would have been more enjoyable, but the dealers weren't doings splits, DD's, insurance, side-bets, triple 7's, or 1.5 win for blackjack, so I felt that the odds were unfairly tipped in the house's favor, since I lost like a 100 bucks there.

At the end though, there was an auction, so the people with the most play money could participate to get REAL things. I won a detergent and fabirc softener. Atleast 5 dollars worth of things. Good times.

Hah!  I went down to Florida two years ago or so during April Break.  We rented some condo for the week and what do you know?  There's a Texas Hold'em table there too.  Full of poker chips (I will never gamble real money ever) that we can use, two decks of cards, the whole lot.  Even the table.  So whenever we were done being tourist during the day I would play some Texas Hold'em with my Dad and my two cousins.  It wasn't even really a challenge against the cousins (who never played before), but my Dad is beast so it was fun.  This was a while ago so I don't remember too much about what exactly happened, but I remember that it was a blast and I am extremely lucky or EXTREMELY unlucky.  XD

played in another pool tournament today, got to the FINALS! And the last match was really close, I only had one more ball to go, but the other guy won. It was a really good game though, and I beat the two best players in the whole building, so I'm still happy.

It's like I get into some weird zen where making the shots, even the really hard shots, gets really easy, but I still have alot to improve on.

I'll win one of these days!

On a side note, I was thinking that ever since I started living healthily, and started making friends, my head's been getting screwed up... or maybe it's just that I'm not thinking pessimistically all the time anymore.

I've been having similar feelings.  Starting last year was depressed, sarcastic, and lonely.  But right now I'm just sarcastic and a lot people actually notice me at school.  Even if it's mostly pissed off sarcastic all the time many people find that funny.  For example, today I had another four hour class for driver's ed.  (yes, Sunday AND Saturday)  I was mad because I had to go a total of eight hours this weekend when I could be SLEEPING.  I got to class like two minutes late, yaddha yaddha, the instructor lady (who works at me school) happens to be the person running the program.  Now, there is more adults here than teenagers (which I find funny), in this situation I would usually feel nervous or anxiety, but I never have that feeling anymore.  At one point the talker asked us emotions we have on the road, people called out emotions of course....happy, sad, mad, nervous, etc..  Mrs. Goodson asked which emotion is the most dangerous.  I called out "Happy!", that made a bunch laugh.  Which is funny, BECAUSE IT'S TRUE.  While mad was the right answer the talker went into discussion how being happy can make you carefree, which lowers your judgment....which causes accidents.  Then we watched a video of some guys MythBuster's style proving if being tired is the same as being drunk.  It was true of course, being the whole point of the film.  One pretty funny part (which is sick) was when the testing dudes would pull a fake dog across the track and 9 out 10 times the driver would just run the puppy over with a "thump-thump" and keep on going, some couldn't even remember a dog.  It was hilarious to say the least.  Note that all these people were complete strangers, but that didn't really phase me, I'm not sure if I'm just getting use to shit or what, but it's a remarkable difference than last year.  Same goes for school, people actually know me.  I have a nick name for crying out loud!  Everyone calls me The Beast Bisson (pronounced Be-son) which sounds pretty cool and the guy that started this was one of the top football players, well......most of the football players know and like me...I find that funny.  XD  I've realized that to complain about what will never change will get you no where.  What you gotta do is go with it, don't have to get involved with it (smoking pot hahaha no), but just keep it cool and people will like you.  I know very little people that don't like The Beast Bisson!
