The level of travel and inconnectivity that we have these days has never existed before though. in the 30's the average person could not afford to call across, say, europe. Now everyone can. Heck, everyone can just drive across it in a few days. Everyone knows people in other countries. A general will to go to war will be a lot less than, say, 70 years ago.

Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country

Ok, I just declared my room as a separate nation.
Since a nation must have at least 10-15 citizens to exist, I have declared books as citizens, giving me almost 300 inhabitants.
All must recognise the might of...
BOOKTOPIA.

You can have a country with less people.  I thought Sealand had population 2.

In the same vein, I declare myself a nation! As my blood cells are the ones whom I count as inhabitants, I am at this moment the most populated nation on the planet!

I now recognise protons, neutrons and electrons as citizens in Booktopia.

He'll make the numbers up, if anyone bothers to check, they will find that he is indeed right, because of quantum and its uncertainties.

Only if he has a positive personality. Then his citizens will revolve around whatever he says.

I'm again loving where this is going. On that note of the delaring yourself a country and the electrons your citizens, isn't it possible that your country both exists and doesn't exist at the same time. How confusing that'd get with trade.

The whole thing about less war is prolly right. We're not longer a disonnected world, there are no hidden empires that we must defend against. We're becoming super globalised and this is what's making war so hard to do. Everyone knows everyone. And you don't want to go upsetting everyone do you? 'cept NK ofc.

Even North Korea is opening up to talks now. Sure with China, but even China knows well enough to say "Dude, chill out."
