Topic: Odd Steam error. (Read 1190 times)

Well, as the title suggests i have acquired a steam error, i'm unsure how to rectify said error, other than possibly uninstalling and installing steam.

The error saaaaaays:

"Steam.exe (main exception): CmultiFieldBlob(pSerialized): Bad field-extends past end of blob"

Seems rather simple in itself, but i'm unsure to what it is exactly reffering to. anyone else had a similar error, or is able to help is any way? I'd prefer not to have to install steam and all my games again.

Completely exit Steam, go into your Steam folder and delete the ClientRegistry.blob file, or if you're paranoid rename it/move it somewhere else. Steam will create a new one the next time you run it.

This fixes about 99% of the errors that involve Steam.
