There is one thing that's been bugging me that I have to ask before we rerail.

Is it odd that in Dawn of War several Chaos unit voice clips remind me, for no apparent reason, of Mork and Mindy? Has anyone else experienced this?

Is it just me or would Dwarf Fortress based series make a really good TV show?

It could run forever and when it gets old they can end it with a bang.

I actually upgrade every cultist squad with a champion first to keep them from annoying the FUCK out of me.

Still, they're pretty funny.

Honestly, for me,  the best part of Dawn of War was the hilarious (and for the most part well-done) voice-acting. The Commissar was full of bombast like he should have been, the Spess Mareehns were full of hot blood, and the Chaos Marines were insane.

Also: the narrator rocked so hard.

I can't remember if DoW II's voice acting is anywhere near that caliber. The Force Commander I think lacks the hot bloodedness of Davian Thule and Gabriel Angelos (and Indrick Baldeale, come to think of it.)

The one from Dawn of War: Epic Fail Soulstorm. He's most responsible for all the SPESS MAREEHNS stuff. (Honestly, if Space Hulk had been more popular, it would have started a lot earlier. Also, EHT MEHTAL!)

Commander Indrick Boreale gives a battle speech: (This is apparently from their stronghold mission)

What I wonder is why they needed to put "Deep strike your guys right on top of the enemy" in the Codex Astartes, and give it a really cool codename.  It's not like anyone who ever had deep strike available to them didn't think "I'd really surprise those guys if I deep struck my guys right on top of them".  It's kind of a basic tactic.

Having never played any of the Dawn of War games I had to look this up on YouTube to see if the writing was actually that pitiful or if you were just exaggerating.

It's like they hired Peter Chimaera to write the speech and then threw money at a decent voice actor to suffer through it.
