On Rain

Quick Question: Is there any way to predict when it will rain or make it rain? Is there a schedule to it or is it just random?

I've been playing on a cold map(murky ponds freeze in winter) and in the 4 years I've been playing I think I've seen it rain just once. I really need it to rain as I seriously underestimated the capacity of the ponds and my indoor lake never filled up properly.

It's random, but some maps seem to get more rain than others.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Some maps have it raining more then others, but I've found that at least in the tropical/warm regions it seems to rain more during "The wet season", which I think was autumn, and one other month.

There are really strange places out there, like deserts that have rainstorms almost every month, and a jungle that has no rain for a good 2-3 years.

What kind of statues are your masons making, that you think they have "maximum exposure"?
(Full frontal ones, apparently.  With very short beards.)
