No official update, but I am starting to consider a game engine to do the art for me.
Cycling the manifestations will cycle the colour of the coloured stuff. There are four coloursets, redscale, greenscale, bluescale, and black/white. If you applied the same PERCEPTION FACET to all three MANIFESTATIONS, you would get a greyscale representation of the revealed changes over the black/white of the omnipresent objects.
I have two rooms planned out, and I suppose that they will basically be a tutorial to teach the most basic aspects of interacting with the world. After that, I will need to invent a storyline or just improvise in response to suggestions.
By the time the tutorial is finished, I will have the engine at least displaying stuff. At the very least, hand-coding the lines to get a perspective projection underlay to MSpaint a GUI over(I seriously have only used MSpaint so far, using three images. I take the latest GUI, if it changes modify it and save it, incrementing the title ID, select all, copy, and delete, draw the non-GUI view, paste over the GUI, using bright purple as the transparency colour, then finally copy/paste in the crosshair(SPATIAL SELECTOR) using the same purple-based transparency. If anyone wanted, I could upload everything EXCEPT the map plan doodles(cruddy perspective top-down line-views, colour-coded) and it would have no impact on the game)
When I have a basic engine(line/polygon art) to do the perspective changes for me, I will use screenshots with the GUI manually overlayed, but "look around the room" and animated movement would become so much easier, that I could actually do them often.
