The unknown thing turns out to be a ramp leading to nowhere. But still further on the left, what is *THAT*?

Examine room, examine difference between PERCEPTION FACETs

>Poke the blue!
>Examine room, examine difference between PERCEPTION FACETs

All attempts to poke the blue fail, on account of the fact that the blue is a projection of the PERCEPTION FACET, overlayed in the blue spectrum by the ULTRAMARINE MANIFESTATION.
Looking around the room, you have seen all of the green objects, and there are two blue tunnels leading out, one on the roof and one of the wall.

It appears that the PERCEPTION FACET active in the ULTRAMARINE MANIFESTATION reveals holes in objects, and the one occupying the CHARTREUSE MANIFESTATION reveals objects previously not visible.

((I really sshould write a display engine for this, it would eliminate perspective errors and stuff, plus make everything much easier when I do turn it into an interactive game))

Your fist passes right through the blue box. It is a tunnel, after all. You enter it. On the other side you see a similar room, with diffrent contents, and it s certainly not aligned to a grid.

Examine the room three times, cycling the PERCEPTION FACETS through the different MANIFESTATIONs. Catalogue what you see.

ULTRAMARINE MANIFESTATION.

So far this all seems pretty abstract, abstraction is the natural predator of the space marine...

That's why he will destroy the heretical abstraction.

No official update, but I am starting to consider a game engine to do the art for me.

Cycling the manifestations will cycle the colour of the coloured stuff. There are four coloursets, redscale, greenscale, bluescale, and black/white. If you applied the same PERCEPTION FACET to all three MANIFESTATIONS, you would get a greyscale representation of the revealed changes over the black/white of the omnipresent objects.

I have two rooms planned out, and I suppose that they will basically be a tutorial to teach the most basic aspects of interacting with the world. After that, I will need to invent a storyline or just improvise in response to suggestions.

By the time the tutorial is finished, I will have the engine at least displaying stuff. At the very least, hand-coding the lines to get a perspective projection underlay to MSpaint a GUI over(I seriously have only used MSpaint so far, using three images. I take the latest GUI, if it changes modify it and save it, incrementing the title ID, select all, copy, and delete, draw the non-GUI view, paste over the GUI, using bright purple as the transparency colour, then finally copy/paste in the crosshair(SPATIAL SELECTOR) using the same purple-based transparency. If anyone wanted, I could upload everything EXCEPT the map plan doodles(cruddy perspective top-down line-views, colour-coded) and it would have no impact on the game)

When I have a basic engine(line/polygon art) to do the perspective changes for me, I will use screenshots with the GUI manually overlayed, but "look around the room" and animated movement would become so much easier, that I could actually do them often.

Engine dev image 001:

Now I can give a room proper perspective!

Would be nice to have some trignometry in the wasd though.

Cycling the MANIFESTATIONs only changes the colours around, except for the black wall-lines.
However, examining the room reveals another PERCEPTION FACET, however, you can't see a way back up if you jumped down to get it. (Edit-added-text: You reset the colours back to how they were before, because it doesn't really matter, and you want to stick to what you know)

((Engine dev: it does the room-wall perspective, though I still manually draw everything in it))

Install all new PERCEPTION FACETs to the, erm, red? MANIFESTATION as they are discovered.

Walk behind curtain, change outfit.
