They don't seem to be separated into "Core" and "Supplementary" though, so I may be getting confused.  Is Fighter core?

Yes, it's the quintessential warrior class.

Lull Shakenbeard, Neutral Evil dwarven Monk~

And yea, psionics is sorta effy, and a experienced D&D player told me that.

Core: Fighter, rogue, wizard, sorcerer, priest, barbarian, ranger, monk, druid and bard. Plus prestige classes like weapon master, red dragon disciple, etc.

Jack already linked it but I'll do it again: Use this. All the classes listed under "Character Classes" are the core ones. All the supplementary stuff is listed at the bottom under Planes, Psionic, etc

There's a good character creator here, although it takes a bit of wrangling in notepad to format it properly, in case anyone doesn't know about it.

Then it seems my Chaotic Evil Half-Elven Wizard will be somewhat at odds with the party. And until further notice, that one guy that suggested he could is our most likely DM, unless Rooster steps up and the other guy wants to step down.

Whoever the DM is, I'd suggest you get to work on a campaign. Everyone else, I'd suggest getting to work on characters.

We don't know how to roll stats.

3d6?  4d6 and drop the lowest?  This is something that needs to be known.

There's a link to a character creator about two post above yours.

It'd help if we knew what level our characters can be, or should we start the campaign at lv1?

"Psionic", "Divine", "Unearthed Arcana", and "Epic Levels" are all supplementary.
Divine is only useful for the DM, though.

Can we use Elite Array?

Elite Array is where you have to distribute the stats 15 14 13 12 10 8 between the attributes.

Example:
STR 13
DEX 14
CON 10
INT 8
WIS 15
CHR 12

Until kinseti says otherwise, he is the acting DM. He may decide all of these, as I can't DM worth shit.

Hmm, since I'll probably foul up anything else, I'll guess I'll be in with a Paladin.  The race would be... um... Dwarven.  It's probably a completely stupid choice, but I'll go with it anyway.

Wait, the entire Paladin page is written as if the player is female.  Do paladins have to be female, or am I missing something?
