D&D Campaign: Who's In?
« on: October 01, 2009, 04:03:21 pm »

So, to stop the horrific rape of the other, vaguely related topic, all discussion related to the D&D game in planning shall go here.

Rooster, if you're willing to be the DM for certain, please let us know.

I'd be willing to have a go at playing.  Which parts of the D&D wiki should I read?

Dunno, just now exploring it myself  ;D

I'd suggest looking at the races and classes, figuring out what would work best for you.

I would love to, but a prof just dumped an important essay on us on short notice. I have close to zero free time now.

Also, for the sake of clarity, we'll be doing 3.5 edition I assume?

I'm in with the little free time I have. I aways wanted to try a dwarven monk.

I'd assume. I don't own any 4e material and the "SRD" is just a bunch of crap. :\

This should totally be in forum games, I think. Or maybe we can start another topic when we decide on a DM and everything gets started. On the subject of DMing...I'm looking into it. I might still back out, and if someone else wants it they are more than welcome to jump in. If I do take this on, it would be 3.5e.

EDIT: Otherwise, I'd be a player. It looks like we have a lot of potential players though  :o

3.5 pl0x, anything before lacks too much stuff and anything after is rubbish.

Homebrew or SRD? I'm confused as to what is commonly used, and the wiki specifies between these two distinctly.

I'm in. Shall I be a straight fighter, or something crazier?

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

Hmm, so many races to choose from.  I'm probably going to have to go on awesomeness rather than actual merit.

Hmm...

Wow, DnD wiki sure is weird.  I'll probably end up going for a class and race that can take a punch and lash out well.

Is this going to be a play-by-post or is it going to be on a virtual tabletop? If it's the tabletop, I can't go on fridays. I have another game then.

@CJ<numbers>: It's best just to use SRD because going homebrew gets pretty complicated.
