Well If I ever head down there ill be sure to check those places out. Honestly I just can't stand the constant sunnyness over here, It's depressing honestly.

Australia's sun isn't like the rest of the world's sun. It doesn't shine, it sears. It sits there in the sky, bleaching the colour out of the world, baking the people into black crispy versions of their former selves, plotting to destroy the world.

The Australian sun does not like you, and it will do everything in it's power to make you as miserable as possible.

Also - depending on the area of Australia - not so. Though! The coldest winter I've ever had was -11. And that was in the morning.

How hot does it get in Australia during the summer?
I'm in Arizona, USA, and it's between 105F (~41C I think) and 114F (46C) for pretty much the whole summer (all 8 months of it. )

Gah, that's one of my pet peeves about the States: We can't use the metric system like the rest of the freaking world.

Depends where you are, really. Cairnswise, it never goes under 30 degrees... unless of course there's a week or two of rain, which happens so often in cairns.

Central Australia it'd get hot... but that is because it is a desert.

But the hottest I ever remember it being where I live is around 55 degrees celcius. I cooked an egg on a rock for lols that day.

Yeah. For example in Coober Pedy most of the town live underground because it's so hot.

Yeah, 40 degrees C is pretty normal for Aussie summer, but it's not unheard of for it to go up to 50 or higher, depending on where you are (if you're in the middle then 50 is probably low.)

Heh, I should visit some searing Australian desert some day. Preferably before I have kids, or the kids would probably be burned to a crisp.
