A Sims 3 succession game
Ladies and Gentlemen, roll up, roll up and welcome to Moatmangled, our very own Sims 3 succession game!But how does this work? You ask.
Simple: It's a combination of '
Let's Play' and a '
Dwarf Fortress Succession Game'!
The Sims... Will be you!
That's right! You, boys and girls, will be able to choose exactly what you would like your Sims to be!
And using Sims 3's revolutionary trait system, we can ensure that the Sims are just like you!
Interested?Well this is how it will work:
There will be 'People' - that's the dudes with the sims.
And there are 'Game Masters' - that's the guys/gals who will actually play it!
Every 24 Sim hours, the current Game Master will update the status in maybe a paragraph or so. Pictures are optional, recommended only for certain special events.
All the while, you guys can give us input and we will make your Sim do that thing you want us to do. After 20 ingame days, the current GM will pass the save file onto the next GM. Just like a DF Succession game!

If you have any particular facial requests, etc. Then shoot away.If your Sim fits the mandate, then you will implemented into the game world. There will be a starting family of 4, other 'people' will just have to be replacement for dead or as their children. If you have to be the offspring of someone, then you will have very limited say in what your charater turns out as. (Curse you, genetics!)
For 'Game Masters', read this:
If you have played DF Succession games before, then you know the drill. Here's a quick rundown. The Game Master will play the game for a designated amount of time, updating on the status frequently. The Game Master will do what the owner of the Sim wants. When your alloted timeframe is up, you stop playing, zip up the save file and chuck it over the internet at the next person in the list. And so on. Do not play the game if you cannot update the status on Bay12. More rules below.
General Guidelines // Rules
- A 'Game Master' will reign supreme for 25 game days, after which the next GM will play;
- Atleast once every 24 game hours the Game Master must update the status on the game;
- No cheats are to be used - they break the challenge of the game;
- The Game Master should not play the game if they are unable to update the status on Bay12;
- Refrain from Custom Content as others may not have what you downloaded;
- If you whine, complain or moan about what happens to your sims, then you will be ejected from the game. Another will take your place.
