So, as the title suggests, i may be getting a cat, according to the other people in my house. (you need not know who they are).

I used to have a dog, but another houseperson was friggen' allergic to poor Kodi. (yes, i like "hard to pronounce" names).

Now, i don't mind cats that much, but i also learned that said cat was a persian. Yes, the type of cat that looks like it has been hit with a shovel, and then Dunked in a Static electricity field.

Is there anything here that could condole me? i'm probably going to have some laughs when i tie a ribbon to it's tail (i'm not a bastard, don't start) and that sort of mischief, but it's still going to be annoying, cats and their little nuances.

Being all uppity and that.

What shall i do!

If it's a kitten, then you'll find that it like to attack feet and hands, so watch out for ambushes.

And keep it busy/full, otherwise it'll spend it's time eating cables and the like.

My cats spend all their time eating, sleeping on my bed/chair/me, or loudly demanding attention.
They are the nicest kitties ever, but they require alot of petting.

Cats are, in my opinion, nice. Relaxed, don't require exercise, you can even have a dog in the house.

But for the love of God, assert authority early. It won't work, they'll still walk all over you, but you tried.

I'll never understand why people name cats. It's not like they care what you call them. If they feel like coming they will, and if they don't they won't, no matter what you call them. I had half a dozen cats in the past 10-15 years, and they were all called "Here kitty, kitty".

Anyway, sucks that you're getting a Persian. Try negotiating for a normal house cat, they're much more fun.
