Siege ammo won't get hauled

Next to my Ballistae, I have designated a few squares for ammo stockpiling. I designated them as Furniture Stockpiles, then edited the stockpile preferences to disable all types of furniture other than Siege Ammo. I have several steel ballista arrows waiting, and several dwarves with no labors other than Furniture Hauling enabled, yet nobody has moved a single arrow -they just sit there with No Job. What gives? :(

Make sure you're accepting all qualities in that stockpile, and all your OTHER furniture stockpiles don't accept Ballista arrows.

The material types must be enabled.

I only disabled all types other than Siege ammo. All materials and qualities are accepted. I have no other furniture stockpiles, and really no other furniture to move.
Someone finally moved a single ballista arrow, but all the others are just sitting there in the workshop. I don't get it. I may have to resort to controlled dumping.

if they have moved one it is ok.
Destroy the workshop  and they should go and collect the remainder.

Doesn't seem likely, but you never know: Did you just make Steel Ballista Arrow heads, and not joined them to a wooden shaft yet? Yoyu have to give your Siege Workshop the " make steel ballista bolt" job for it to work.

Heh, thankfully I'm not n00bish to forget to assemble the arrows.
Are items in the workshop less likely to get hauled or something? That's the only thing I can possibly imagine it being. Got like 8 of the things cluttering it up something awful.

Did you by-chance use a custom stockpile? They often become buggy.

Oh really? First I heard... do you have any details?

However, this was not a custom stockpile. I designated it as a Furniture stockpile, then edited the preferences to disallow all types except Siege Ammo (leaving everything else, materials, quality, etc, as is).

Currently 3 out of 12 arrows have been moved. I guess they get hauled rarely for some reason? I thought they might have been too heavy for one trip, but that's clearly not the problem, as they by and large haven't been moved even one square.

Sounds your dwarves rather move something else. They'll get to the rest eventually by the sound of things.
