Okay, this is ridiculous.  I've extracted fonts, installed fonts, copied fonts to various folders, restarted GIMP, reinstalled GIMP, installed a newer version of GIMP, watched videos on how to install fonts, read instructions on how to install fonts, listened to tantric prayers involved in the installing of fonts, everything.

And none of it works for me.  I'm still stuck with just the default fonts, plus Floydian.

It wouldn't surprise me if "Plucky" was already a band name (definitely some cheerful indie sort, Miles Davis on the cover be dashed), and if "Mesh Tenney" isn't, well, it should be.

Well, managed to find a slight workaround for the GIMP issue.  I just hope I don't have to do it for every time I want to install a new font...

Anyways, here's what I came up with using my new tools:

Amazing what a couple nice fonts can do for ya.  This was one of the easiest yet, didn't have to pretty it up at all.

EDIT:  'Nother one.  I had to think of something to fill up that huge empty space at the bottom.

Alright, I have no idea what kind of music these people would play.  Anyone care to guess?

EDIT:  Okay, just looked at it and apparently GIMP was hiding the top part of the image, so the text's a little bit off of optimal location.

With a name like Laguna Rodeo?  And an album called "Let's Start With Typewriters"?

Only funky thing is the picture...   But Laguna Beach is, after all, a beach.


EDIT:  Okay, made another one.  For those of you want something a little different, use the "random entry" thing on Wiktionary rather than the random quote page for your album titles.  You'll end up with some wacky stuff, like this:

The band is Talgarth, and the album is Moral Bankruptcy

Okay, it's been confirmed.  If you don't want an "artistic" title for your album, user the random entry tool on Wikiquote (make sure to specify the language of your choice though, otherwise you'll be ending up with all sorts of weird stuff).  I did a single roll on both Wikiquote and Random Quotations, and if I'd picked the Quote result then this album would've been called "The Shame of Art" rather than "Flamebait".
