Odd, I expected you to roll to see how well the dust cloud concealed me.

I look at my hand to determine what happened to it and its functionality., then move away from the others so they can see if anyone is sneaking up. Since the hand will probably be different from the rest of me, I put my sleeves together to hide it for now and go investigate what the other pirates are doing.

I assume you're adding a -1 to all sight actions, and that's why both I and the pirates failed. Or at least I think you add modifiers based on condition. (Checked, memory is unusually corroded, or maybe it was just how the light shown upon it. I would expect my dust cloud would have effects on everyone nearby if it's thick enough to conceal me.)
Too bad I didn't get a [4] on defense or I would have made a monster out of a random bug on the ground.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

Odd, I expected you to roll to see how well the dust cloud concealed me.
I would have, but the pirates were distracted, and weren't looking your way at the time anyway.

I assume you're adding a -1 to all sight actions, and that's why both I and the pirates failed. Or at least I think you add modifiers based on condition. As for the pirates failing... actually I just forgot to give them a turn, plus they are out of your dust cloud at this point. Usually yes, it will affect everyone nearby, I think from now on I'll roll to see how badly anyone in the area is affected each turn.

I'll post the turn soon, the pirates not getting an action last turn will be rendered irrelevant by flintus revealing himself anyway.

Whoops, I assumed in my action that you had negated its effect on everyone else. Do I still have time to change it?

I look at my hand to determine what happened to it and its functionality.
I then move away from where the crew is searching and loot the ship under the cover of the dust cloud.

Quote from: Flintus10
Tell the pirates to bite me and storm them back to the stone age!
[5+1] You leap out of your hiding place and simultaneously send out a giant surge of electricity from your staff. defence rolls:[5,4,5,6,2] One of the pirates gets struck dead-on and falls over dead, and another is stunned, but the remaining three pirates are completely unharmed, your lightning deflected as it approaches them! The leader mocks you before he strikes, "Ha! This is the plane of air ye landlubber,(yes, sky pirates talk like all other stereotypical pirates) did ye really think we would have lasted this long if we didn't be having a way of avoiding lightning strikes? These here amulets keep us safe from all but close-range lightning strikes!"
Shocked by this turn of events, you lose control of the staff, and it continues to discharge a continuous stream of lightning. The staff has a large store of power, and recharges quickly, but this kind of drain will render it useless quickly if you can't get it under control!

Quote from: Jervous
I go impress the king with my flail, and ask if he has a workshop or something that I can work in.
[3] The dwarves take you to their king, and show him your mighty flail, HeadShatter! His reaction is strange, a combination of fear and envy. It seems your flail is made from adamantine, the most valuable, and most feared, of all stones. He is willing to give you a workshop, but requests that you do remain in the upper levels of the fortress, lest the flail's presence wake something better left asleep.(I am assuming that the dwarves know little of adamantine, only that fortresses that encounter it tend to be destroyed.)

Quote from: stonemt
have them show me to their graves...
[3] They are quite terrified by this suggestion, until you manage to get them to understand you don't mean their graves, but those of the fortress in general. They escort you there, but warn you that if you are discovered disturbing the graves of their heros, you will be driven out by the fortress guard.

Quote from: Diakron
grab a couple dozen barrels of booze and show off my water magics, afterwards explain that, like the FBI, i am here to help.
[5] You decide to indulge the king, and use your water magic and a large amount of booze to enchant a nearby waterfall, changing the water to booze until the enchantment wears off in a few weeks. You are now second only to Armok(and perhaps Captain Ironblood) in the dwarves eyes. The king tells you that they have few problems at the moment, the only major one being their problems with the elves. Relations have always been strained at the best of times, but recently the elves have ceased trade altogether, and without their wood, the fortresses are forced to rely on their limited tower-cap supplies. Most of the dwarves think the lack of trade was their idea, who would want to deal with elves anyway? They think that there are more than enough tower-caps to last forever, but the reserves are already running low.

Quote from: SHADOWdump
Proceed onward to the elven retreat, then interject with, "Halt this slaughter Abaddon!"
Then proceed to trap him in a anti-magic barrier.
[6] You arrive to slowly to stop Abaddon from destroying the majority of the town, but manage to stop him from lighting the last few elves on fire. You encase him and his flames in an anti-magic field, specifically attuned to demons so that he cannot escape. This takes a lot out of you though, and requires a constant flow of magic to hold up. You won't be able to cast any spells until you release him(those scrolls you have will work though).
Hmm... would that count as arcane magic, or as light magic?

Do A DEMON Roar to scare the elves shitless and the Do the DEMON Fire BREATH! and do the rest of the things i wanted to do with the elves. oh and try to get a fwe elves to cut down their own trees or they will die or let them commit suicide
[auto-5] You ROARRRR! in fury at these puny being's attempts to imprison you! The elves cower in fear, and the druids lose their concentration, causing the vines to vanish! You mercilessly slaughter the elves, tying their corpses to your chariot, and then burn the forest with your newly-remembered Hellfire to make sure you didn't miss any! Or, you would, but an anti-magic field causes your fire to vanish in midair, as SHAD0Wdump appears to try and stop you.
Hellfire gained!(can lanuch flames that will burn even underwater, only magic can extinguish it)

Quote from: Nivm
I look at my hand to determine what happened to it and its functionality. I then move away from where the crew is searching and loot the ship under the cover of the dust cloud.
[6] Your hand is rapidly growing, it isn't an inconvenience yet, but if this keeps up it's going to mess with your balance. Your fingers are also growing longer, making your hand resemble some sort or giant clawed gauntlet. The scales on it enhance the illusion, having changed color to a dark, silvery shade. Ignoring it for now(you're pretty used to magical accidents at this point, sorta comes with the job) you sneak off if the direction of the downed ship to see if there is anything worth salvaging. Dust cloud effect:[3] You manage to get in without being spotted, or crashing into anything, but the dust cloud is too intense for you to make out any details. After searching futilly for a few minutes, you give up trying to see though the dust.

Edit: forgot the pirate's turn again.

Quote from: pirates
Yar!!!
[4-1(obstacle)] They try to attack flint, but can't get to him past the lightning staff. Instead they throw several knives at him! [5,5,1] One strikes him in the [6][2] head, cutting his cheek badly(severe pain, -1 to anything requiring concentration). The next looks like it is about to hit, but the third is thrown so badly that it knocks it out of the air.

Just a recap as to the status of the planes:
Water: cleared and wrecked
Earth: inhabited by dwarves and elves, leech, daemon, diakron, SHAD0Wdump, and Abaddon are here currently.
Air: infested with pirates? nivm and flint are here.
others: unknown

I don't know why I didn't realize this before, but the tower we are on is made of a translucent material; where is all the dust coming from? When I saw the fact that dust concealed me, I subconsciously moved everything happening in the Air plane to the Earth plane. I was imagining plumes of dust randomly being blown off the ground, but I'll assume that the telekinesis is disintegrating the tower around me. Although the likely-hood of that really depends on if particles of the material are still clear, or resemble the icicle↔snow difference.

[ ] I sit down on the wreckage for a moment and concentrate on creating an area clear of dust near me. An "eye of the storm" sort of space.

I'm just going to start placing empty brackets before an action; bold words seem harder to read.

Really, the majority of dust is things like hair ans skin, along with the remains of meteorites, plus the town had soil(presumably lifted from the ground) otherwise they couldn't have grown anything. Even in a place like this, there would be no shortage of dust.(especially after an airship crashed in the town.)
