[1+1] You attempt to replicate the shock you used to awaken SHADOWdump, but can't quite get it right.
Go back to the village and collect my rewards.
[4] You hop in the boat and sail back to the village. You arrive to find Daikron about to bore the elders to death and quickly ask about your reward. They offer you each a single service:
1. a free magical item(you can choose the general effect, but I roll to determine it's power)
2. novice level training in any school of magic.
3. an upgrade for your equipment(+1 to any one aspect of your weapon or armor)
4. You can try and ask for anything else equivalently useful, though you might not get it without a good roll.
Go back to the village and ask around what we're supposed to be doing exactly.
[1] You get in the boat with Rashilul. You ask around once you get back to town, only to realize you already knew what you were doing: fixing the water supply.

[6] Why walk indeed, you decide to explore the cave by shadow-walking from place to place. Who cares if it's about ten times more effort than necessary?
At the end of the tunnel you discover several chests filled with... nothing? The insides of the chests appear to be a portal of some sort.

Go see cheif, tell him it is done, then give a blow by blow account of what happened whilst waiting
[3] You go to see the elders, tell them that you succeeded, and begin telling an epic tale of your exploits. Well you thought it was epic at least, the snoring seems to indicate they disagree.
Hand out one beacon pebble to each of my compatriots. Return to town.
[4] You hand out the beacon pebbles and take the boat back to town with Rashilul and Jervous. You give the last pebble to Daikron once you get there.
As the chaos monster drifts further away, the orb the was polluting the water shatters, the pieces fading away to nothing.
