Here's a dream I've had a number of times, exactly the same each time.
I'm in a helicopter, in the back. I'm looking out the door, down on a tall building. The helicopter is circling it, slowly coming down. What I can see of the surrounding city is empty, and looks as though it has been that way for a while. The Helicopter drops within a few feet of the roof, and I jump out. Landing in a crouch, I un-shoulder my assault rifle (a nice, mostly after-market Ar-15 my father owns. It's just awesome.) and enter the stair well.
I sweep each level of the building in a military-esque fashion. No body home. I pass through several floors this way, until I reach the bottom. At the bottom, in what appears to be the lobby, I discover that the front doors have been barricaded. From inside. There is no one in the building, and no visible way out.
The dream ends there.
I honestly have no idea what the hell it is about, other than the fact I've had that dream enough times to pull it up from memory.
Edit: I thought I'd toss this one out too.
The dog I grew up with (We got him when I was about 8 or 9) passed about a year or so back. I was having trouble coping with it (I'd always seen him as a more of a fuzzy person than an animal. Very intelligent.) and my Wife and I had been considering getting a puppy. It seems silly now, but I thought that by doing so, I'd be trying to replace him, and I couldn't accept doing that.
One night, I had a dream that me and him (he was a Chocolate Lab we named Chip for obvious reasons) were walking down this tunnel. He always used to bump himself into my leg when we'd walk (whether to assure me he was still there, or to make sure I was I'll never know) and he was doing it in the dream to.
After a while, we came upon a chocolate lab puppy in a kennel. Chip nuzzled the door open (he'd always been adept at getting out of his kennel if he really wanted too, I think he just stayed in it to humor us.) and the puppy came out. He and the puppy played for a while, then he nudged the puppy towards me. As the puppy came forward to play with me, he resumed walking down the tunnel. Eventually, he disappeared.
We never did end up getting a dog (our current landlord doesn't do pets) but I really think I could now.
God I miss that dog.
