We don't have majors in Britain.  If you choose, say, maths, you'll have a morning lecture on maths, a discussion on maths, an afternoon lecture on maths, some revision time on maths and then a night studying maths.  I'm pretty good at maths, but doing it all the time sounds hellish.
Are you kidding, that is like some kind of heaven, it's the whole reason I chose maths.

Yeah, with an English degree, the only degree-level jobs you'll be "qualified" for are teaching positions (provided you can pass educator testing), jobs that specifically mention that they don't care what your degree is in, or most likely a job that someone you know swings for you.  Studying literature as a major literally prepares you for nothing except jobs that are specifically about literature, and I'm sure you can guess how common those are.  It's generally considered the dumping ground for ditz chicks who's education is being paid for, and footballers who can't find spaces in Physical Education.

Aw, I hoping to see the ToonyBridge.  Trans-dimensional circuit boards are good too.

Which brings up a good question: What do you expect to do with your Degree?

Or, for those who already have one: Are you actually using your Degree?

Well I'm doing maths partly because it's supposed to be a good anything degree. Anyone will want you if you have a maths degree. But as for my plans? I plan to put off having to make plans for 3/4 or possibly even more if I do a masters years.

Actually that's true. Good thing I'm taking the education track in junior year! ;)

What's your Major?!?!

I think it's about time we had a discussion thread that can't turn into an argument.

You know that by saying that, you destined this thing to go down in flames, right?

Anyway, psychology.

I'm the first actual Computer Science graduate in here?  Wow, so much for blending in.  In my defense, I almost went for a Classics major (ended up being a Latin minor) until I realized that it'd be much more enjoyable as a hobby than as a profession, and I like programming anyway.

What's YOUR major, Aqizzar?

Manliness Studies.

Also, on the subject of overexcited college students, I hate everyone in my college.  I don't know anyone, so I don't want to talk to them.  None of them are interesting.  There's a guy in one of my classes that cosplays and goes to anime conventions.  When people were discussing programming languages, he said "linux ftw" and walked away.

I hate them all.

God I wish there were people at my college even that interesting.  It's fucking High School Plus here.

Anyway, you're all pretty close.  Political Science.  As in, I study the process of Politics with a Scientific approach.  I used to think I was slowly going mad.  Based on my reprehensibly pragmatic responses to my Policy Adoption course, I don't think there's a "going" to it anymore.
