Vector are in essence arrays, so when the size of a class-in-vector changes, they overlap.

However, this should never happen. Weird.

That's really strange... I've been using a vector of my enemy class in ToA for a while, and they have several dynamic data-types like strings and vectors....

Doesn't matter, since the member vectors are one size and string as well, one pointer to where the real stuff is. So your class doesn't "grow", as its member strings and pointers "grow".

As soon as you compile, it calculates the size of your class, and you can't increase the actual size of a class in run-time because of this.

I mean, I've been working for what, 4 months now, on getting OpenGL extensions to work...

Yes, I am just going to let it go array style,
 and if necessity dictates otherwise,
 there will be groans.

My AI people are cool so far.
I'm going to give them a level of aggressiveness,
 and then give them an activity to share in.
The ones with higher aggressiveness
 will be more likely to punch someone during the shared activity.

Pretty simple way to simulate inter-tribal relations, huh?


EDIT:

Now the people can approach each other and begin conversations.
People can range between extremely passive and extremely aggressive,
 but there are no uses of aggression yet.

I'm going to add in a system where conversation starting has a random chance,
 and that chance is modified by the aggression of the approacher.

I've added in a simple system where people can get into fights based on aggression.
Conversations and fights can hold more than two people.
I'm going to add a system where other people can become involved.

EDIT 1:

- I'm going to dub this experiment "Party House".
- I've added in a strength stat, and players with higher strength do better in fights.
- I've been focusing on violent behaviors, and now that they are fairly rounded out,
 I'm not sure where to go next.

EDIT 2:

- I've added text coloring for character names, so they are easier to track.
- I've also added room names, though characters are currently restricted to the entry hall.
- I'm going to work towards giving them their own rooms which they will initially seek.
- They enter randomly, as long as the capacity stays below a certain number,
 so I've added text for an empty house.

I think this will be a fun little experiment, and I'm considering starting an alternate thread.

I didn't have much time but it had been a while since I tested this one...

It's so cool...

I love what you did with the music, the alpha transparency while digging and on the water, the changes, the rain... It's living, it's lovely. 

I didn't make myself time to check those other new AI features and stuff...

Some day, you'll have to point me out those things.

And I'll probably ask you a couple of questions about who you implemented things.

Is it me or is erosion from water overpowered? every time the rain comes my tunnels collapse. And every time I start on an Island it gets overflowed.

I have never observed another human playing this thing,
 and I really would like some input.

Water is very much over-powered, and that is to change when I add in material bonds and stuff and weight distribution stuffs.

ALEXHANS:

Those AI features are not in the game yet.
They are part of another project I am working on here.
When I know what I'm doing, I'll come back and start on the Cloud Scream overhaul.

There are tons of changes planned, and babbling Armok is the only soul who knows.
