How do you get this to run? I've extracted the download file and when I try to run it I get an error saying: "The paging file is too small for this operation to complete."

Ouch.

Looks like you need more RAM.

I suppose it's a long shot,
but you can try removing some of the music files from the folders.
I'm not sure, but that sounds like it would reduce the RAM usage...

Go in control panel, click system, click advanced tab, press settings under performance, click advanced tab and under virtual memory press change, click custom and set it how big you want maximum to be.

Okay. Removing the music files and setting the maximum to 2000 MB worked. I've tried it out some. I don't really like how I can't see what part of the underground I've dug out, but, otherwise, pretty cool.

Try pressing the 'c' key for slice views.

I'm considering making this first person eventually.

EDIT:

Okay, I really can't think of any more reasons to not release this thing,
even if all those spells aren't in yet.
(I can just make multiple releases like always)

I've added some new functions for camera control and directional movement,
so now things are easier to code.

I've increased the camera control speed, so now it moves around a bit better.

There should be a release tomorrow.

I'll also be making a list of things to fix/change/add in the first post eventually,
as a sort of countdown to "complete",
even though I intend to add to the list all the time.

EDIT:

I'm probably going to release again really soon,
and I wanted to set up a list of future changes,
so I overhauled the first post again.

Look under the future changes section
and see if any of it interests you.

I can hardly remember all of the changes I've made,
 but among them are:

- Magma, Fire, Smoke, Steam, Ash
- Crystals and Magic
- Text Menus
- Terraces and Plateaus
- Collapse Plants
- Varied Rain Intensity
- Increased Camera Speed

Any others?

The new controls include pressing capital 'C' to bring up the cast menu.

There is a naming system in place for the creatures,
but it still needs some work before it will be appearing in game.
If you stay near a creature for a few seconds,
its name will print in the console window.

I know it barely stands up to the Dwarf Fortress release,
but I hope someone will try it and enjoy it.

As soon as Mediafire lets it go through, it will be linked in the first post.
Don't worry, I'll probably make another post.

I am interested to see what people think,
 and hear some new criticism.

BTW, I'll be doing the ogg change soon.

Sorry for the double post, but I need readers for this one.

Where can I go to upload a file larger than 100 MB?
Mediafire is being retarded and refuses to upload the file.

Really? Thats funny cause I frequently upload stuff bigger than 100mb.

You might wanna try Uploading.com. Personally, I've never used it (much) but apparently the max file size is 500mb.

I am using 7zip.

I suppose I can just make the oggs work...
I really don't feel like it right now though.

I'll just upload it somewhere else.
Would you people hate me if I tried Rapidshare?

EDIT:

Here's the link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/374040750/Cloud_Scream_0.5.1.7z.html

I'm going to start work on the next version right away.
Those ogg files have never been desired more.
