Since I can't do a pressure system yet, volcanoes would be very tacky.
I'll probably just leave it as an underground thing, but magma seeds are also a possibility.

I'm pleased to see people catching on and starting to use the terms I made up. : )

If I could find a way to squeeze one more variable in,
 it would be a pressure/temperature variable.
That would allow me to do so much more.

I tried running this on a computer that I had tried it on before.
With all of the new additions since last time,
 it was impossible for the computer to carry it.
I got that error related to RAM running out... what is that called?
Some sort of "stack overflow"?

If memory was running low, you might get a null return from malloc or new. A stack overflow is when you use up too much space from local variables, I think.

Anyways, I never got a start on that lava, but I did fix ~four random upsetting bugs,
 although I spotted a new one in the process.

I'm got a running list of things to work on, but the week is starting again,
 so no major changes until Friday.

Yep.  bad_alloc.  There's an option called nothrow that makes it return NULL on failure just like malloc (if you're interested ).

Anyway... Orange... I'm struggling a bit with the fact that the supposed ov_fopen function that should work for windows (regardless of how careful the linking is) is not included where it's supposed to be.

what causes the problem in windows:

But... I've figured it out.  I was using an old SDK...

Now I'm trying to build it from scratch.  Painful.

EDIT:  I'm already pretty familiar with the implementation.  The only problem is I can't test it.  Once I build everything I'll write a nice clean guide about it and upload the binaries, dlls and includes so it can be used by anyone.  Not just really patient people 

EDIT2:  btw,  Cloudscream looks impressive.  I don't know how or what exactly you did with those flames and steam but it looks both interesting and awesome.  I'll try it once I've solved this conundrum.

Nah, you've got a working executable, I've been messing with so many concepts that go way over my head that I haven't had a running program for weeks now... Stick to what you do best, it's looking great!

QFT.   This is what I always tell orange.  Achieving things is much better than just knowing and not doing much about it.  As long as you don't build a sand castle grain by grain...

anyway... I'm fed up of this oggvorbis SDK I can't find and can't compile.  I guess I'll just have to seek help in some reliable places tomorrow.  Be patient.  Soon enough, any project with music will weight very few mb.
