I know it would probably be really immature,
but I sort of want to ignore the whole library issue for now,
and possibly wait for some outside help from someone.

So until that works out, the downloads will be gigantic.
When I say ignore, I don't mean forget, I only mean put off.
I'd much rather be working on the planned stuff.
This planned stuff will be awesome though,
potentially more awesome than the water erosion.

So, look forward to some amazing screens,
 some intense new physics expansions,
and some really interesting landscapes to explore.

Provide the music downloads separately, so people can upgrade the rest without the entire download?

I'm probably going to do that, actually, but I'll probably change the file arrangements first,
so people will have to get the music one more time before I go separate.

Here's a hint at my top secret project:

Fire,
 maybe?
It seems like the ground is burned,
 or is it buildings,
as their is that weird thing left.

Yeah, ignore that purple thing.
That's also a new feature though.

The blackened soil and trees is the important bit.

I just played Minecraft recently, and I have to say... I like your game much better.  It's also great to see how much enthusiasm you have for your project.  The new stuff looks frightening.

Okay, okay, I can't hold it in any longer.

I've just put the finishing touches on fire, and it is working beautifully.
The flames flicker and grow,
the ground slowly burns, edges slowly spreading,
and the resulting ash takes a few hard rains to return to proper ground.

I had an instance in my last test where the flames
got high enough to light the top of a building on fire!

I am going to add in smoke and stream later,
then probably move onto other new materials.

I'll remember to make fire be uneffected by lighting changes.

Yay!

The secret part is what will be causing it.
It will have nothing to do with the sky stuff though,
 so don't jump to conclusions.

Grats.

: )

----------------------

On another note, I have added a new system to the game.
There are special OMITTED that you can find,
which can be used for doing magics. (Mostly involving terrain alterations)

I'm not sure if I want to tell everyone how it works,
or let people figure it out.
Either way, the game has a lot more potential now.

EDIT:

Just to be slightly more clear,
the OMITTED is a consumable object.
What is this?
I wondered so much,
and I doubt it is something I can think of.
I thought of potions,
 but I don't think so.
It is consumable,
 which confuses me greatly.

Yay!

The secret part is what will be causing it.

 so don't jump to conclusions.
Magma,
 maybe?

So,
why do the AI get to move faster than the player?
Like,
they don't move one tile as the player moves.

The consumable is something found underground,
and in real life it would probably be a bad idea to stuff one in your mouth.

The AI moves the same speed as the player.
If you hold down a direction, you will match their movement.
It's just that the controlling player doesn't really have
the stamina to hammer down the keys to move that fast.
I'll think about limiting them to half speed,
but than you could catch up really easily in a straight chase.

Another point for Org!

I've finished smoke and steam,
 and it looks amazing.
Imagine huge black clouds filling the whole sky,
and when it rains, the white steam shoots out everywhere.
Also on the edge of lakes in some cases.

I'm taking it with me to my aunts house now,
I will probably start work on lava/magma/crust.

Today is a productive day.
