Once I get the GUI working again, I suspect this thing will take off.
Expect some minor rewrites of the way generation works.
Once I get back to local map generation, I'm going to do some super bizarre stuff.
There are things to be added my friends, many things.

Ha! You're not alone in having a laptop that's more powerful than your desktop.

Unfortunately, my laptop's a mac and I can't be arsed to dual-boot it.

I'm still watching this, even if I don't post much.

I need some debugging help here:

error:
no match for 'operator[]' in 'basictile[xcheck]'

It happens on this line in one of my class functions:
cout << "Tile:" << basictile[xcheck][ycheck][zcheck].gettile() << "\n";

Is basictile[] really an array of something?  I mean, is it spelled right?  I got a similar bug at one point working on ToA cause I misspelled "equipment"...

I'm near certain the instance is spelled the same way in every spot.
I've also checked the xcheck variable.
It is always xcheck, and it is of the correct type.

I wonder what this is caused by?

Now that I re-read the error, it looks more like it's complaining about '[ycheck]', as though it wasn't a 2D array... now, I know next to nothing about the error messages, so I'm probably completely wrong :P

This is a job for Alex.
He would know what to do.
I hope he's online soon.

EDIT: Thanks Alex.

Back in the programming juice!

I'm halfway through editing the camera controls to work with the new setup.
There are a lot of minor things to tediously tweak,
but it sure is good to see the camera rotating again.

I'm in the homestretch of this whole class update dinosaur.
I can't wait to rework the geometries of the world features with my new coding abilities.
I expect a 20% reduction in code load, or possibly more.

Right now is the time to show support, we enter the darkness tonight!

EDIT:

All 14 view control functions work again.
I'm going to be gone for a while, but might add more tonight.
Expect a new release by tomorrow evening.

I'm chugging along, adding the geometry back in.
Things look great, and adding in new stuff is so fast now.
My code for creating new materials and corresponding colors used to be multiple pages.
Now it's only 1 line!

In other news, I'm getting some weird bugs, and I thought I'd post up a picture while I was here:

Expect new stuff by evening!

Sweet, sweet, programming juice.  It's better than coffee.  I'm sorry to hear that is a bug, it looks like some sort of awesome interstellar ship planet.

I'm skipping landpillars for now, since they are having trouble coping with so many changes, and it would be time consuming to deal with them now. (I'm in a bit of a hurry)

Here's a neat screen:

With Alfie's help, I've successfully added the landclouds and landpillars back in.
I am currently stuck on subvines.

I'm going to take a short break, and refresh my brain.
