I'm not terribly liking this thread. Why must we keep a thread on people who broke the rules and are likely never coming back? Sure some of them might make alternate accounts and try something with less of a chance of ban, but they broke the rules. Even if this was made in the idea of knowing who broke the rules it would be pointless.

 Sure some of them I miss and others, while working their way up to said ban were banned for not terribly offensive things, they broke the rules. They were doing things that they were already told not to do. They took up toadies time.

 Whatever. So long as we don't horribly derail this thread into some topic that will require locking after 30 pages I'm cool with it.

My opinion in a nutshell. Except I don't see the need whatsoever (yes, idea change, cut me some slack, it's too damn late in Oz)

Frankly I am interested in this topic. It is a history of this board as well as somewhat of a Drama.

Drama ruined an earlier forum I was on. I don't think the same fate will befall us as this place is chill enough to survive such things, but understandably this is my real motive for disliking this thread.

I've visited other forums that do just that, hell, some have 'halls of shame'.

They're fun to read, but it's pretty obvious it's unhealthy for the forum. What is drama, especially drama that involves trolls or banning? It is a rot in the forum, on that needs to be removed. Why keep something like this around? Study? Despite calling it a rot, the analogy only stretches so far. This isn't a disease, to be studied and observed. It's a grievance that would be best wiped out as soon as possible. I know what you mean by 'history repeats itself' but really, trolls aren't original, and neither is drama. It always occurs in much the same way. Besides, there are a multitude of places on the internet to observe drama and how it affects a forum, because all forums are similar and all drama happens in a similar way. We don't need something like this here. There's no point.

Sure, you might raise someone who was employee of the month onto a pedestal after he leaves, but there's a limit and quite frankly I don't think many people care.

I miss Torak, I kind of miss Broose.  Okenido was okay, but I lost my respect for him/her when he/she started acting like a child in the wake of the loli thing.  I saw Yanlin coming a mile away.  I don't care about anyone else.

For one I think all the bans so far have been justified, they were for the most part all warned and just didn't listen.

And for the record Broose got himself banned on purpose. That's why I steer clear from that cesspit now that I understand what kind of people really post there. Though as you can see not everyone there is bad (Angellus, Armok and Hawkfrost stand out there).

Just search the word "banned" on these forums and filter it so that only posts by Toady One appear.

I think it's sad you don't go there more, if you did the place might actually have some hope, besides now the main place to keep up to date on your naughtiness is your blog, and you don't seem to put that much there either.
