Role Pms
Cultists
You are all Cultists of the Great Old Ones. You have gathered here at this nexus of power in order to free the Cold Flame from his prison within the icy mountaintops. To do so you will need blood and souls to sacrifice to it. Fortunately, a good number of people have been trapped here. Hapless lambs for you to bring to slaughter! You will sacrifice one person each night on your alter.
Diakron
You are the Cult Leader. Long experienced in hiding your dark ways, you will appear as a normal person should an Agent come sniffing around. It is also your duty to select which of you will go and fetch the sacrifice each night.
Frelock
You have long studied the dark arts of necromancy, and have become an accomplished Medium, able to communicate with the spirits of the deceased. You will have access to the Dead Chat, and may freely PM any dead character.
Pandarsenic
You chose to study the magic of the mind, and have become a Telepath. You may seek out the thoughts of others at night, and find out their goals. As a psychic character, you need not leave your house to do this.
webadict
In your quest to discover the Rites of Summoning, you have become a Disciple of Truth, adept at stripping away the veil of lies that conceals the truth of the universe. Once per game, during the day, you may choose to learn the true Role and Race of another player. Only a mind shield can prevent this discovery, and should that happen you will be allowed to select a different target.

JanusTwoface
You are a member of an ancient order of Aliens, dedicated to keeping the Great Old Ones from entering our Universe. You are one of their Cult Hunters, dedicated to finding the delusional cultists of the Great Old Ones and wresting their secrets form them. Once per game, during the Night, you may Abduct a player to take back to your headquarters for questioning. If that player is a Cultist, you win. If they are anything else, you have lost. Regardless, you and the abducted are removed from the game.
To aid you in your hunt, you have been granted One tech slot. Please reply to this PM with your tech choice.

Leafsnail
You are a Watcher. Member of an ancient and mysterious order, you manipulate the various factions of the universe in order to maintain the balance of power. Your goal on this planet is to prevent a resolution from occurring until 8 days has passed. On the eighth day, you will force a confrontation between one of the Great Old Ones and a member of the Celestial Guardians. This will send both beings back to their home realms, seriously weakening both and limiting their involvement in the affairs of this plane. This will, regrettably, destroy the entire resort and everyone within it (except yourself), but sacrifices must be made for the greater good.
As part of your training, you have learned how to carefully Watch other beings. At the end of each day, you will get a list of all players who communicated with another living player via PM or Quicktopic.
To aid you in your quest, you have been granted two tech slots and a Mind Shield. The Mind Shield will protect you from all psychic powers that might target you. Please reply to this PM with your tech choices.

RedWarrior0
You are an Alien Scientist, sent here to collect specimens as part of your Graduate Work. As Earth seems to be a nexus for bizarre occurrences, you've lucked out in your choice! Here you need to collect a normal Human, one of these deranged Cultists, and some other species of Alien. Each night you may choose to Abduct a player. If they are of a Race you do not have, you keep them for study. If you already have one of that Race, you may choose to put one of them back. Once you have one of each Race you leave and return to your home planet. You win at that point, and you and all of the abducted players are removed from the game. Should you die, the abducted players will be released the next morning.
To aid you in your quest, you have been granted two tech slots and a Mind Shield. The Mind Shield will protect you from all psychic powers that might target you. Please reply to this PM with your tech choices.

Humaan (Human)
You are one of the security guards here. It's been a quiet job so far, just some punk kinds or petty thefts now and then. But here is your chance to shine! You can be the Heroic Guard who protects someone's life from the cultists at all costs! Each night you may choose to protect someone. If that player would be killed that night, you will die instead. Being Heroic, you will be able to protect that person no matter how many attempts on their life are made that night.
--
Jim Groovester (Human)
You are one of the security guards here. You mostly work at the bar, keeping an eye out for troublesome drunks. As a result, you've become a rather Observent Guard over the years. Each night you may choose to protect another player. If they would die that night, you will die instead. You will also manage to see who the attacker is in the process and warn the person you're protecting of who is trying to kill them.

Kashyyk (Human)
You are a follower of the Immortal Celestial Guardians. The mystic beings have watched over the Earth for Eons, preventing the Great Old Ones from being woken before their time. And they have led you to this place to prevent these foul cultists from completing their ritual. Using their teachings you have become a Psychic Warden. As such you may use the Ritual of Subdual once each night to bind another player to their room and prevent them from using any night actions or any active abilities during the next day. As a psychic character you need not leave your room to use this power.

Mr.Person (Human)
You are a War Veteran, recently returned from your time overseas and eager to blow off some steam by taking advantage of the Resort's skiing, hot tubs, and rifle range. Well, looks like you're back to fighting for you life. You liberated a rifle and some ammo from the range and you're well prepared to protect your little cabin from anyone who might want to mess with you during the night. No way these stupid cultists are going to take you down!

NUKE9.13 (Human)
You are one of the park Rangers who patrols the mountains. You spend your time helping stranded skiers and hikers and showing off your impressive ski abilities to the cute girls who visit the slopes. It's been a good life so far. Now, though, now you can prove just how awesome you really are by acting as a Heroic Guard for the guests here. You may pick one player each night and protect them. Should something happen that would kill them, you'll die in their place. Because of how awesome you are, you'll be able to protect them no matter how many things try to kill them that night.

ToonyMan (Human)
You're a normal Townsperson. You work at the snack bar, and you'd been hoping you could leave early the day the pass was closed. But, no, your lame manager had you stay so he could go hit on some chick he'd met who worked in the supermarket a few towns down. It'll take all your wits and cunning to get out of this alive!

chaoticjosh (Human)
You are a Reporter. Your main reason for being here was to rate the Resort for a travel magazine, but you should be able to use your training to find out what is really going on here. Each night you may either follow another player to see where they go or watch a player's cabin to see who comes to visit them.

Well, doesn't all of this just suck? I mean, you only took that lousy job at the snowboard shop so you'd have some extra cash. Now you're stuck here with a bunch of losers and some crazy cultists who want to kill everyone. Now, you're Goth and all, but these guys just take it too far. No way you'd get involved in that kind of nonsense. Of course, what really sucks is that people will mistake your piercings and black hair and clothing for a cultist. You're going to have to figure out a way to convince everyone you're not one of these maniacs if you want to get out of this alive!
Night 1
You are standing in your room, looking outside as dusk falls over the resort. As you stand there, you become aware of a strange buzzing sound. Puzzled, you peer out into the shadows, trying to find whatever is causing that sound. The world explodes in light, and you reel backwards.
As you blink your eyes you realize that your movements are slowing down. You stare in horror as your limbs freeze in place, and you find yourself trapped within your own body. Despite your best efforts, you cannot break free of whatever has bound you to your chair.
After hours of struggling you succumb to a fitful and restless sleep, constantly waking to find yourself still trapped and motionless. Eventually, as dawn breaks over the mountain, you begin to regain control over your limbs.
Tired, sore, and altogether unhappy, you ready yourself to face the day's trials.
Night 2
JanusTwoface
You sit in your room, setting up your scanner so you can find the truth about Jim Groovester. As you configure the machine, however, you start to feel a strange binding sensation. Your limbs become heavy with fatigue, and you can barely keep your eyes open.
You wake up the next morning with a parched throat and fuzzy mind. You're not sure what happened, but it obviously wasn't natural.
--
Jim Groovester
You hang outside Humaan's room for a while, waiting to see if anything tries to attack him. Fortunately, your skills are unneeded.
--
Kashyyk
You sit in your room, a small white candle on your desk and a gold chain in your hands. You speak the words to the Rite of Submission and cast your psychic energies out into the night, directing them towards JanusTwoFace. You feel the bonds tighten around him, binding him to his room. After a bit you release the spell. Janus, at least, will go nowhere tonight.
--
Leafsnail
You sit in your room, pondering the days events and grinning to yourself over the human's foolish inability to make decisions. You then hear a strange buzzing sound, and you resign yourself to your fate when you realize that you cannot move. After a few minutes a strange figure comes into the room and presses something to the back of your head, and you black out.
You awaken in a small holding cell, obviously part of some sort of research vessel. It seems someone has decided to remove you from the proceedings. No matter, things are well on track and your own fate is unimportant compared to that of the universe.
--
NUKE9.13
You start gathering your things. Humaan will need protection tonight, you you're not going to let those cultists get their hands on him!
But as you pull on your coat you feel a strange sensation. Like you've suddenly been wrapped in giant invisible chains! Your body slows, your eyes droop, and your mind starts to get fuzzy. As you stagger towards the door it opens, and a robed figure grabs on to you.
You awaken in a dim chamber. Everything seems strange, somewhat indistinct. Then you realize that you are floating off of the ground! Looking around, you see that you are in a cave, and you body lies below you. Strange robed figures stand around it, chanting, and blood flows over the alter beneath you. It seems you have been sacrificed to dark gods! Just as you make this realization you feel yourself being drawn into a gibbering, howling darkness.
--
Pandarsenic
As the others prepare for the sacrifice you lie down and send yourself into a trance. Your astral form flies free of your body and skims through the darkened resort to find Jim Groovester's thoughts. You dive down into them, skimming through the shining bands. You sense a strong desire to 'protect' within him. Satisfied, you return to your body.
--
RedWarrior0
You head off to Leafsnail's room. Approaching it you active a stun Orb. Once it has had time to incapacitate your target you walk inside. He is standing near the desk, and you press the orb to his neck. He collapses, unconscious, and you take him back to your ship.
Looking at the life readings that morning you determine that he in indeed an alien, not native to this planet at all. Fascinating. He will make an interesting test subject.
--
chaoticjosh
You hide out near Leafsnail's room and watch to see who might come close. You catch a glimpse of RedWarrior0 heading towards it, and quickly duck out of sight. Once he is gone you resume your watch, but no one else visits him this night.
--
eduren
You sit in your room, a small green candle on your desk and set of small iron chains in your hands. You speak the words to the Rite of Submission and cast your psychic energies out into the night, directing them towards Nuke9.13. You feel the bonds tighten around him, binding him to his room. After a bit you release the spell. He, at least, will go nowhere tonight.
--
webadict
You head off to Nuke's room. He will make a good sacrifice to the Cold Flame. Sneaking up, you pull out your tranq kit and open the door. To your great surprise, he staggers forward and collapses unconscious in your arms. How odd...but fortuitous!
You drag the unconscious Nuke off to the mountain cave where you have the alter. The others are waiting there, and you quickly tie down your victim.
--
Cultists
Webadict drags in an unconscious Nuke and ties him to the table. You gather around, and Diakron begins the chant. Faster and louder spirals the chant, the words blurring into a jumbled screeching cacaphony. With a final shout Diakron stabs down with the dagger, and blood pours over the alter. You begin the chant of release, and feel his soul rise up before you, only to be drawn to the darkness that has been called to receive it.
The ritual is a success, and you can feel the power growing in the room. You'll need many more souls, however, before you can fully summon your god.
