But why?  If we lynch Muchenik, we've either got scum or a confirmed towny.  Doesn't that make more sense?

He doesn't want something that will help the town because he is SCUM Leafsnail, isn't that obvious by now?

I said he would be confirmed town if humaan came in and verified his claim. Can cultists be DoT? I guess they could, I didn't think of that.

Any role (with the exception of Aliens) can belong to either side, with up to 2 per side.  This was mainly changed to avoid things like a confirmed Medium thus becoming a confirmed Townie from an earlier round.  (Paranormal 6)

But why?  If we lynch Muchenik, we've either got scum or a confirmed towny.  Doesn't that make more sense?

Personally, I'm always against lynching someone that is likely to be town just to win the game.  It doesn't feel right.  In this case, Muchenik is likely a Human DoT or on a scum team with Humaan, trying to clear them both without being killed, making the situation more interesting.  In any case, this will move the game along and still allow Humaan to back up Muchenik (or not) tomorrow.

Or Muchenik could be a Cult DoT trying to get Humaan lynched tomorrow.  This is less likely but still possible.  If we lynch Muchenik and he turns scum, it doesn't necessarily condemn or clear Humaan.

Yeah, it won't condemn or clear humaan if he's cult.  On the other hand, it will leave one cultist dead, Muchenik.  So, why not have a CT or a dead scum?  While there isn't an 100% chance of Forsaken being scum, there is a very high chance that lynching Muchenik will be beneficial to us all.

No worries Janus, I do understand your position though I assure you I am exactly what I said, a town goth.

I am curious about something. You're against a day extension, and you don't care if humaan comes in and verifies muchenik's investigation, and though you said that if muchenik dies that would confirm (or at least strongly suggest) that humaan is town... yet you voted me. I would get that if you're certain of my status as scum, but you said you weren't really sure but leaning towards that. In light of that, I have a question.. do you really think a scum would draw this much attention to himself day 1?

In either case, wouldn't it be better to lynch muchenik and have a verified (or as good as it gets) townie to coordinate than to kill a townie goth? A telepath (if there is one) could easily investigate me tonight and get a survive instead of a kill objective to verify my story.

I think that it's entirely possible to draw this much attention to yourself as scum, just generally not a good idea.  While I'm not entirely certain that you are scum, I do think that it's decently likely that either you or Nuke is.  (Yes, I realize that it doesn't have to be one or the other).

At the very least, I hope that if Nuke is in fact town, this will help get him focused on someone else rather than continuing to work primarily on you.

Personally, I'm always against lynching someone that is likely to be town just to win the game.

and you really think I've acted more scummy than Nuke? REALLY?

I think you were at the beginning.  Yes, you've said it was all an act and that does make sense.  But I really do think that lynching you will help out more in the long run.  You'll (hopefully) see why later.

Gah.  Fine.  Unvote.  I'm not going to help in the lynching though.  And it's entirely possible that the Town has some sort of attack role that could clear up the entire Forsaken mess tonight.  (Not me though)

It doesn't really help that many of those voting against me aren't even online. We have time though, hopefully some of them will come in. Some of the votes against me were from before I revealed the act.

I will vote for an extension then.  Yeah, there might be a vig, but then again, there might not be.  And if Muchenik is scum, he could be protected by a buddy, or he could even be protected by scum if he's town to avoid us getting a CT.  A public lynch would be far more reliable than hoping there's a town killing role who will take him out tonight.

I am fine with lynching muchenik- indeed, I would prefer it. I am saying, however, that we have 4 hours to switch most of the votes on forsaken to him which we might not make, thus risking a no lynch. However, if you, janus and leafsnail, think it worth it, I will vote for a day extension so we can lynch muchenik instead. I will join you, then, in voting for a day extension
Once we have it I will switch my vote to muchenik, but not before. (can I get that conditional, meph?)

Unfortunately the rules state no conditional votes. If he's willing to make an exception that would be great.

We need one more vote for an extension and we'll have time to clear this up. (We need 5 right?)

Day extension. I believe that's the third vote.

There are no more conditional votes.

Day extension is confirmed: Day 1 will now end ~5pm Pacific Tuesday

Ok, that should give enough people time to switch their votes.

Vote against a day lengthening. We don't need it. Half the town is voting forsaken already. Nothing has or will change.

That's a rather dramatic shift in attitude in mere moments. Leafsnail and JanusTwoFace are very convincing, aren't they?

Actually, they are, but that's beside the point of the implication I'm making. Unvote NUKE9.13, not because I don't think he's scum, but because I agree with Leafsnail that we all would benefit from a muchenik lynch.

It would give us a confirmed townie, for all the good Humaan is doing for us in the game, or we'd have dead scum.

Other than that, it's once again hard to read people.  I don't find Nuke suspicious, personally, as he's continuing to provide reasons for his actions and votes.  Eduren, on the other hand, seems to have jumped from one bandwagon to another when he realised that a Nuke lynch is now very unlikely.  I think this may just be an attempt to stay off the town's radar as much as possible.  Eduren, what do you think about all this?

Are you claiming that I was on the Nuke bandwagon? I never voted for him or even FoSed him.

As for switching votes, I thought that

scummy+noob = not immediate concern. We can address Humaan when he decides to post again.

scummy+even more scummy = immediate concern.

Yes, a confirmed townie would be helpful. Unvote
