No it is not. To qualify as 'Intelligent' you have to be of above average Intelligence. Get this; half the people in America are of below average Intelligence.

No it is not. To qualify as 'Intelligent' you have to be of above average Intelligence. Get this; half the people in America are of below average Intelligence.

Really though, I think you are trying to say "Half the people in America have an IQ of 100 or less", which is true. Sadly, the way you say "average intelligence" implies a global standard, and a fair percentage of the world is still so uneducated that they wouldn't even score on an IQ test. Nobody knows what the "average intelligence" of the world is, and there's a fair bit of argument on how intelligence should even be measured. So yeah, bollocks statistic. And I'm not even American.
