I can do the 20th, not much sooner though.

EDITING TAKING 4 TIMES AS LONG AS THE RECORDING RAGE.

Just reminding everyone, it's the 19th now. If Akigagak does not finish by the morning of the 21st his turn will be stricken from fort history.  In any case, Thief, are you ready to take control?

Just about, but I'd rather hear from Akigagak first.

It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

If we're going by GMT-0, then I can do it.

Double post to bump the thread: Here you go: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=1617

What, you want a log?

ESp: S**T, BARON.

MSp: Goblins. Heh.

LSp: Stage one of Giganto Wall Project starts.

ESu: Project continues, most of nobility (not the mayor or hammerer) in suitable accommodation.

MSu: Bridges and levers added, new trade depot. The lever south of the new depot controls the access bridge to the depot. If the bridge is up, invaders are forced into the water trap. There are two new levers in the dining room, the olivine one controls the west bridge., while the grabbo one controls the north-east bridge.

LSu: Giganto Wall Project stage 2 begins. This is a massive wall to block arrow fire on any dwarf wondering around the reclaimed valley. (I removed a lot of ramps in spring).

MSu - MA: Not much except building. We got a goblin ambush in MA, but they spontaneously died while I wasn't looking. I think they ran into one of the military squads, but none were stationed near the bodies.

MA - LW: Building. Still not complete upon end of turn.

Notes for next player: Sort out the beds and remaining nobles quarters. We're out of trees in the 'safe' part of the map, you'll have to either make use of our military, or expand the defenses. Or risk it.

And watch out for the dwarf named Theif, he has three cats, two of them females.

And the red/cyan (N)otes are mine.

I, on the other hand, am currently buried in preparing a demo for Sony. Give me more time (a week?) or skip me, your choice.

8th Granite, 206
Uuugh, how long was I out? What do you mean I'm in charge now?
Must have been a hell of a new years' party. A YEAR!?

(OOC: My turn now ;D)

11th Granite
You want me to do what with the elves?

25th Granite
Oh fine, 13 wood (39¤) for a single 40¤ toy hammer.

26th Granite
Oh great, now the metalsmith has gone all fey.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It's worth 32400¤.

23rd Slate
Migrants, including "Wise Urvad Erithzes", philosopher!
An animal caretaker, a peasant, two children, a glassmaker, another animal caretaker, a donkey foal, a novice fishery worker, an animal trainer, a novice woodworker, another peasant, a trapper, another peasant, a novice jeweller, another animal trainer, a potash maker, another donkey foal, a horse foal, a novice axedwarf (with no axe), a cow calf, a novice hunter (claimed as a marksdwarf), a cheese maker, a leatherworker, and a planter.

14th Hematite
I've been working on a system which will pump water into the walkway to drown invaders / force them into the underground. Unforunately, five local orc leaders have arrived with a vile force of darkness (37 more orcs) in an attempt to stop me. Just let them try!
Umozup Spiderdefense (a mace lord)
Ogyk MenacedMange (a mace lord)
Sak Cruelfirst (a hammer lord)
Yluxip Monsterforests (a spearmaster)
Ranota Malignedfiend (a spearmaster)

21st Malachite
A jeweller has been possessed.
Also, we have killed a few orcs, and the walkway flusher has been successfully tested.
Note: Opening the west and north-east gates is the quickest way to get rid of the water from the walkway.

26th Malachite
It's only a 24000¤ milk opal cabinet.

14th Galena
An accident with stupid dwarves, orcs and the water trap has resulted in the deaths of 14 dwarves. Coffins have been ordered. May they rest in peace.

10th Limestone
The caravan is here, but so are the orcs. Due to the gates being shut the wagons have bypassed us, but several traders have insisted on trying to come anyway. Good luck to them.

27th Limestone
More migrants, are they mad!?
A novice hunter, a peasant, a novice craftsdwarf, another peasant, a cow calf, a mule, a miner, oh I give up counting them, it doesn't really matter anyway.

13th Sandstone
The siege is broken, migrants are inside, traders have been and gone, everyone who died has been buried and we're nearly back to normal...

2nd Moonstone
A glassmaker has been possessed!

11th Moonstone
A vile force of darkness has returned!
Sak Cruelfirst (hammer lord)
Ogyk MenacedMange (mace lord)
Ix'por Spiderbound (pikemaster, new)
Upyg Nightmareslit (elite sniper, new)
and 30 lesser orcs

14th Moonstone
Correction: 76 lesser orcs.

13th Opal
It's a green glass bucket worth 10800¤.
The new quad-size cistern has been completed and the gates opened so we can test it ;D
Dwarves are being stupid about getting inside. Of course.

15th Opal
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

25th Opal
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

That's what happens when you trap 63 orcs in the water trap, including 3/4 leaders (the 4th is the one trapped to the right, oops).
EDIT: 65. The two in the top-left didn't escape, I flowed water over the walkway and drowned them too ;D

31st Obsidian
Time to party hard enough to forget the last year and wake up in a week!

Save: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=1656
Doing maps now.
Start map: http://mkv25.net/dfma/map-7580-constructrain (Akigagak didn't do one)
