Fixing the bug

As your cat and vermin population expands this message becomes more and more common, but it is easy enough to fix by modding (the exact steps are explained below). You don't even have to generate a new world.
Step One
Open raw/objects/body_default.txt and add a new entry:
[BODY:CAT_MOUTH]
[BP:CAT_MOUTH:mouth][CONTYPE:HEAD][MOUTH][SMALL][EMBEDDED][APERTURE][GRASP]
This creates a new body part in your dwarf universe. Specifically, a mouth which can pick things up. Now we need to attach this body part to the cat!
Step Two
So open raw/objects/creature_domestic.txt and edit the cat to:

Note that you don't have to edit the [ATTACK] line, even though it contains a MOUTH too. This is because the "mouth" in this case is referring to a Tag, not a Body-part (you'll note that our CAT_MOUTH has a mouth tag, too).

Shima: Add this to descriptor_shape_standard.txt in the raws, and he will show up in other worlds. He might also appear in the likes of Dwarves, possibly ... will appear in engravings and decorations for all races, that much I can tell you for sure. There may be some odd syntax "Engraving of a ale-chugging Elf King etcetc" and such, but that's the nature. Rarely, in a Dwarf's likes, it might show "Elf King Cacame Lastnamey" as a like as well.

Captain Akiagak's Log

The coward Sava is hiding in the back of the fort, and I have assumed control for the next year to sort our defenses, as our current ones are jokes, that even an Orc finds funny.

First: The 'Orc Trap' is completely ineffective; not only does it rely on the orcs coming in a really tight group, but if we manage to trap them then we can't kill them, as the only firing holes are on the side of the trap closest to the rest of the valley.

Second: I don't know what Sava was planning when he had a little labyrinth dug out under the barracks, as the entrance to it is opposite the entrance to the barracks. The exit is actually in the barracks. By Rinul's Mutterings, what was he thinking?

Third: Levers. He might have stuck a note to each one saying what it does, by there is nothing logical about their placement.

Time to get to work. I've raised the bridge to give us time to work.

I suppose i'l have to explain that labyrinth... It's for use against Goblins. lead them through it (after filling it with traps, of course) and then they come out behind some fortifications so the archers in the barracks can fill them with bolts.

Their in the stocks, but the military won't put them on.
