I am testing the waters about throwing down an unofficial DF meetup on either October 22nd or 23rd where Seattle area fans can get together and play, chat about the game and possibly consent to an interview if they wish(but it's not essential, totally up to them). Is anyone interested?

Bellevue's Lincoln Square is ritzy, expensive, and easy to find. Doesn't really hit all the requirements of a loose group of dorks.

Kirkland has some nicer spots that are more affordable, and have a ton of table space. You might also consider talking to some Game shops in the area to see if they'd want to host something like this. Chances are slim since it's all computer based and most of them are into table-top/board games. But they have lots of space/tables and are dork-friendly.

Let me think a bit more on this and I'll get back to you.

Okay, Tarn Adams has just said he'll come out and hang. I'm thinking Thursday the 22nd is better and good suggestion about the Game shops. Can anyone else list off a few places I might look at?

Google Maps might be helpful.  I'd start by looking through these if you're serious about game shops.  If not, type in other potential meeting places (bar-restaurants are a typical choice).

Didn't mean anything snarky, I promise.  You asked for a list of game shops in the area, so there it is.  You might have to poke through it a little to find the actual game shops instead of Toys R Us etc., but they're there.
