Then why not wait for D3? Whenever Blizz gets to stop making WoW content and finishes the content in D3 to finally release it, that is?

dude i can't even handle Starcraft 2 and its supposed to be using the same engine as Diablo 3

Overclock. Overclock, people, it's not that hard.
All you need is a stronger-than-minimum-necessary power supply, a simple tutorial, common sense and decent cooling.

I can get Starcraft 2 to run (just barely) on a PC that originally had 1ghz.

I overclock mine to the max, ripped off the case, had cooling systems (Fan blowing air across the components to an open window) and it died while running SC2

My computer sucks balls, end of.

You might want to look at partitioning your HD and installing an earlier windows on the partition. Seems like you have trouble with a lot of older games (Diablo 2, X-Com Apoc to name the two I've noticed), and a lot of that might be to do with your OS.

Other option is to see if any of your friends have an ancient relic of a computer and see if they're willing to swap it for, say, a crate of beer. (I have one, and I would. Other people may not. Your mileage may vary.)

Oh, and my single core 1.6 Ghz overheats badly enough to turn itself off on games like C&C Generals. If I overclock this thing, it'll likely explode.
