My god. A Stargate and dwarf fortress merger would be awesome. The dwarfs have struck naquada, praise the miners! The dwarves have discovered a peculiar stone circle at the base of the moutain.

Pouring magma through the gate to wipe out resistance. Lowering the gate into the HFS. Or just using it as a garbage disposal, and eventually finding a cargo cult set up around where you've been sending the junk.

Elves do it in trees. Humans do it in wooden structures. Dwarves? Dwarves do it underground. With magma.
