Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Redwarrior0, can you describe an efficient algorithm to determine if a graph is bipartite? How might that be applicable in a game of Mafia?

No, I can't describe this. I didn't even know what a bipartite graph was until I googled it, and I still don't quite get what it means.

So, I can't get an algorithm, but I'm guessing you'd be throwing an AI at Mafia games, looking at voting patterns, and building some sort of criteria with which to define the existence of an edge (probably through running genetic pruning on already-played games).  Then you look at the two parts.  The one that is suspiciously small is your scum.

The only problem with this is that scum might start artificially adding edges between each other until you ended up with some sort of complete graph, which is effectively useless.

Cheeetar, what do you think about the suspiciously large volume of mathematics that is flowing around at the moment?  Further, what is an application of the Stokes-Navier equations to Mafia?

... Sorry, had to get that one in  :D

Unvote.

Silly people who don't know about graph theory. I suppose I shouldn't hold lack of graph theory knowledge against people. Points to Vector for actually answering, though. Vector, wouldn't mechanism design theory be a better avenue than Stokes-Navier, since we are not a fluid?

And Cheeetar, why are you dropping a #2 vote this early? Hoping to push through a lurker lynch?

Good afternoon, everyone.  We're now in the game with the random roles and the strange win conditions.  With that in mind, Exkirby, could you be one of the evil conservatives we're huntin'?  And why haven't ya posted yet?
