Peace -sounds- like a good idea, but didn't your first goblin ambush forever open your eyes to the fallacy of peace? There can only be peace when all your enemies are GONE (or trapped in lead cages :D).

Getting rlr srs here. Unfortunately, terrorists and others like that won't see it that way.

Still, I love this. I absolutely love this. It's a great idea.

Exactly. I bet the Taliban are licking their chops at the prospect of next year's Peace day. :(

While an attempt at making a day for peace is good, it saddens one that not every day could be like today. Still, it is a step towards such a goal.

Peace Day is obviously the agreed-upon truce period, as it is located directly in the Hangover Zone following Pirate Day.

I think it would be alright to OCCASIONALLY have a peace day. No one can agree on everything. The United Nations is a joke. As if all the nations could unite. I would think to create a peace day, we would need a common event or thing to bring everyone together to stop fighting. But this would require tremendous work. Either way I'm still one of those people who think the only way out of a situation is to crush all opposition. But that's just me.

There are always other options.  And you don't need 100% agreement to get unification, just tolerance, and a situation most people can at least be content with.  In fact, you don't even need official union to have world peace; all we need is lack of conflict between nations.  Mind you, that's a difficult thing to obtain, but largely out of stupidity on a number of people's parts than anything else.

Peace is not agreement, it is lack of major conflict.

Good point. Now we just need to create that lack of conflict... "dragon1423 starts thinking about way to destroy the trouble makers since all he thinks about is war".

This is rather late, but all the same...

The google translator is a blessed little thing. Not always right, but I certainly don't know the difference.

Every 5th day of the month, my high school used to have a "Spread the Love" day. Basically, you could walk up to anyone, say "spread the love!" and get a free hug. It was pretty awesome.
