I kind of wish I had found this sooner.  Funny stuff. 

You obviously needed to inject the blue stuff to fix the hand, put the lab coat on and THEN try to reset the computer.  It may recognize you as a technician and work.  (Every computer I ever worked on seemed that way.)  Then ride the computer like a bull while singing a little tune.

(BTW, if I'm ever marooned somewhere, I want RAM, Neruz, and pretty much the rest of you with me... we will all die horribly, but I'll be laughing so hard I wouldn't care.)
