You quickly think of several possible ways to deal with it, but you are unable to get the jocks attention (they are all covering, hiding, and sobbing, except two who managed to escape before the thing blocked the way and are now most likely running towards the camp) which severally hammers your possibilities. 8 muscular appendages similar to an elephants trunk, but ending in a mouth like the of a lamprey, extend from under the creatures coat, and gash as you as you dodge backwards.

"F**k it!", you say, as you sprint at one of the jocks trying to hide behind a statue of a hunchback human, grabing his arm and the staue and using your momentum swing him around and sling him towards the abomination. He staggers on the spot facing you for a while unsure of what just hapened, then the creature is upon him: coming from behind him one of the trunk-maws circle around his neck and then down his throat, and that's when he notice it. two more attach to his torso and hungrily begin to gnaw their way into his flesh. he tries to scream and fights panic-stricken but it is in vain. A sharp chitin blade from somewhere strikes at him, almost severing a leg and the pants come of, then another trunk... This thing apparently has Corrupt Intentions. The entire thing is horifying, things that you cant even identify... Fire somehow got involved, and bubbling trickles of molten lipids pooling on the ground... the look on his face... The thing eating him, in every literal and metaphorical way there is... The shere terror and madness of it all...
Then you gather yourself, and make for the exit while it is distracted. claw under the fance and you're out. You showe the catapult into the hole in an attempt to block it, but from what you've seen it could probably just pas betwen the bars in the fence if that was the only thing holding it in. YOu then run far away, and hide in the forest, looking back. The jock you used as a distraction is now a pile of tissues, and it's doing...things, to the others.

You go back to the cave, and arrive in the morning. The two jocks have already arrived long ago and told everything they had seen. You get several scolding words, but no actual punishment because the jocks followed by their free will and everyone knows all raids are dangerous. You are hungry and very tired.

Catch and eat some vermin while trying to figure out what killed the rest of the jocks.

While snacking on a bat, you pounder what that thing that stacked you was, but you really have never heard of such a creature.
