IMO the Bible is literature in the same way that high school textbooks (course of your choosing, but I mean textbooks, not the novels and plays you might read in English Lit) are literature.  Actually, it's more like an extended standalone version of the primary source excerpts you see in a history textbook.  As such, I don't think it deserves a place on any meaningful list of works used to determine whether someone is "well read".

Note:  I liken it to a primary source only under the assumption (fervently believed by many, for whatever that's worth) that it is literally the word of God.

My ship has been mentioned in TVTropes!!! Linked and everything!  ;D ;D ;D

Frikkin' awesome.

Found out while I was making a link package for my sister to use since she's new to the game (got her into it now) with all sorts of stuff to help her out, as well as an email to forward to anyone else that would take interest (in both mine and her case). Just out of curiosity, I looked through DF trope to see if there was anything new, and found that. ;D

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

70/100, I think.
I'm surprised that the Silmarillion isn't in there. Much better and more challenging than Harry bloody Potter.

My result is going to be abysmal.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Result: 19/100.  Pretty pathetic.  Oh well, I guess I have plenty of time to read more of them.

I'm at 22 on the list.

Horray for Watership Down! No one seems to know about that book.

Jane Eyre is definately the next on my list.  Especially since I've read The Eyre Affair.

God, Armok's been busy since last time, hasn't he?
My mind has long ago been corrupted and each time I escape I find myself captured in the gravitational force of Bay12games.

I just...
 :'(

I got out of classes and went to my car...
I was hoping around with my mouth open trying to catch snowflakes...
All excitable-like.

I got in my car, drove forward a bit, and turned so I could get out of the parking lot.
As the road came into view, this amazing chorus-type music came on the radio.
With the chorus and the nicely falling snow... big flakes, slowish fall, you see...
It was so beautiful.

I came to my first stop and as I pressed the brakes, the voices were fading out.
Light turned green and the voices spoke up, it was so... in time.
The next light I stopped at had the song end.  But another took it's place as I took off.

When I stopped at the light 3-4 blocks away from my place, I watched the snow some more...
And my eyes started to fill with water.  :'(
I didn't cry!
But... I was getting there.

IT WAS AMAZING!
