Princess Waltz i awesome.

Word heavy, with a weird fighting system, but still really awesome.

I must really be bored to be entertained by this, but I've been optimizing my drive for the better part of the day, and made a few predictions on when it will finish (since it lacks an approximation timer). Anyway, I made a couple guesses, and have made a final conclusion of when it will finish; hour after hour, I've been refining the prediction, and it matched my estimation within 5 minutes (closer to 2 minutes).

I started it since maybe 1PM or so, and estimated an hour and 45 minutes in when it will finish, and I'm impressed at my precision. I could be taking this time to play something, but I don't want to interrupt the process and make it miss (plus, I had work for the better part of the day).

Even going online affected it a tad, but not too bad to be visible enough.

A nice little random victory like this (in precisely half an hour from now) makes me happy. I'm such a nerd. :B

Wouldn't that make you a geek? Not a nerd?

I never got the difference between those two.

Wouldn't that make you a geek? Not a nerd?

I never got the difference between those two.
How I see it is:
A nerd is more number-oriented (programming/math/etc., higher-level tech/engineering (mechanics of a design))
A geek is more culturally acquainted (Movies/games/toys and casual tech. Usually focused on design/art.)
A dork is a social outcast with unique traits (An odd person that finds most ignored/unnoticable things desirably interesting, and is a fanatic about it. Coin collectors of sorts or sampler types or something. It's kinda a broad area. Mostly an awkard class which can blend in with A or B, but can turn into a D if used as a form of mockery. Example: How the media portrays A-C 95% of the time.)
A dweeb is any-of-the-above-wannabe (Usually someone from a different caste trying to fit in. Mostly a celebrity-class, or someone claiming to be a gamer, though they have almost no experience with anything gaming-wise. Media portrayal of A, B, or C.)
A true genius is A-C minus the awkwardness associated with any of them, and is able to spot Ds easily. (Achieving this, and gloating about it will invariably turn you into an outcast. Reason: you would fit in more with a celebrity crowd that's usually followed by paparazzi. For being a jackass, you deserve it.)

I hope I didn't offend anyone with that observation.

Now that I think of it, I think I unintentionally mentioned this, that I came across some time ago:

Replace dweeb with nerd and nerd with insane, and you're golden.

Depends, do you go for graphics, or gameplay?

I suppose we should make a thread discussing this kind of stuff, so we won't spam this one.

The original geek was actually a circus show having to do with a guy biting the heads off chickens or something, this came from pretty much the smartest guy at my school though I haven't done my own research to conferm it either.

Actually, it is true. I've been told from various sources (dictionary included), and even confirmed it with my mother.

How it evolved into being associated with culture and tech and such, I have no clue. Maybe the oddball link to entertainment. That's the closest I can assume.

That, or in order to be in with the cool kids, you had to bite the head off a chicken. :-\
