Sounds like they were cheating to me.

To be fair, the article says they only did that with one of the tests.

Maybe just a bit.

It still shot down five without the machine gun.

These tests always turn out to be really contrived and unimpressive when you get the details.  Usually they have to keep the laser focused on a particular spot for a couple seconds, and it only works under perfect atmospheric conditions.

A linked article to that one made me happy. More progress on Private Space travel!

That's cool and all but god, don't read Popular Science, please.  It's tripe through and through.  If you want real science reporting, read New Scientist or Scientific American.

I like the New Scientist too (can't comment on Scientific American since I'm, y'know, not American).  I have a subscription to it.

Haven't heard of New Scientist before, but Scientific American is better, in my opinion, than Popular Science. Especially the Anti Gravity column, in most of the ones I have read.

One hell of a Steam game list; and got a decent income for the week to pay it off. ^_^

I also just got work for after Christmas. Probably going to be pretty slow, but hey, it's another 6 hours pay. And that'll be plenty to pay off this as well.

Still some time left to find more great games.

Added note: I'm so freaking happy I managed to move Steam to my larger hard drive. I can fit all this.

And one last thing to make me happy: My sister got a netbook laptop. After a bit of tweaking, and wiring games across, we'll be able to play against each other on some games (and I can try to broadcast the matches). It'll be nice to play some multiplayer AoE2 again; and her no longer needing to borrow my, or my mom's computer, relieves more stress in regards to property. Of course, it also means one more machine I'll have to keep an eye on and maintain, and more stress on the network; but it shouldn't interfere with any broadcasts.

Next thing on the list; she's weakening to the temptation of becoming a DF player. Maybe during vacation or finishing her work, she might be willing to play it. Almost there.

EDIT:
O_O

...Woah. That IS one hell of a list. My Steam program's a frikkin' museum now.

My apologies to those of you who have me on the Steam friends list that ever checks out the community overview blotter. I think I just spammed it.

FURTHER EDIT:
Sorry if any of it looks selfish, considering the season. Look at it this way, no need to worry about getting them for me. It's free of charge on your end. And also, I did the math so you won't have to, these are the best deals of the sale until it changes. Just do a search for them.

I'm a professional time waster. I always have time.

Plus, considering my nephew is a little gamer himself. This is also a partial Christmas gift for him as well, since he always wants to play games whenever he visits.

More games for us to play. Especially some board games and teamwork ones to help him get more skill, and still be entertained. The real challenge with my machine is having multiplayer games that can be played on the same machine.

Plus, many of the games on my list I kept hearing awesome reviews of, but never got to play them and missed out. So, why not?
